Plays damn good. A wonderful story as always.

Let me start off by saying that I enjoyed the game a good bit. What I didn't enjoy was Epic Online Services never loading. The first time playing I linked everything and it was fine. The second time playing it was a never ending buffer symbol. I know there are tons of workarounds, many of them involve un-linking your Steam account from Epic but that's not something I'm willing to do as it would effect other games I play and the popup for it was vague and spooky.

My workaround that was working up until the other day was to launch the game in Offline Mode on Steam and then tab out and turn it back to online. It prevented me from playing Co-op but my plan was to play solo anyway. Now this no longer works and the game tells me to go online to play.

Please fix your game, I'm tired of jumping through hoops for new releases.

This game has an insane amount of potential.

The only reasonable complaint is the performance issues. Towns are rough but its never been noticeable to me while exploring or fighting. I am playing on a 5800x and 3080 at 1080p close to max settings with no ray tracing. The deluxe edition items and all the micro transactions can all be obtained in game from vendors or chests.

I haven't had this kind of fun with a game since 2011. It brings back the simple memories of getting home from school and hopping on Xbox Live. Nostalgia so thick that I can smell it.

Some quotes from the developer. I looked forward to this game for 2 years and was delivered a version missing basic features and including awful additions. Saying to give them a chance to add hold to grip is insane when it was already in the game 2 years ago. Has anyone noticed the screen shake on hit? Go use a bow its crazy. Looting is beyond tedious in a game about looting.

Saying "I want to make clear that add some HP and ATK that is not a game design I want(wink)." and then making a game where everything is just % damage increases in the skill tree with tanky enemies is insane.

I really wish this could have turned out differently as it's hard to find a good co-op VR game to play with friends long term.

Very immersive and impressive. I haven't cared about the well being of my character like that in a game for a long time.
