This is a fantastic game for learning guitar or bass guitar. It comes with all kinds of lessons for either instrument and many songs to play. For the most part, the game really does seem to live up to what it appears to be. The cable work good. Note detection sometimes doesn't always work properly. Not perfect but good enough. Sound is amazing. Visuals are pretty cool. The game even has a fun little arcade mode and other cool features. There are over 1200 songs of DLC. Although, in game there is only a relatively small base list. It's a wicked cool experience but it costs quite a bit of money to have a large collection of songs, unless you do custom DLC from CustomForge which I highly recommend checking out.

This is most definitely a good game to learn how to play guitar and/or bass. I am so thankful that this game exists. It is wonderful.

As of January 2025 now, I am humorously happy to notice this. Rocksmith+ is doing so bad that they brought this game back to the Steam store. They wrongfully took it down. Rocksmith+ was a terrible attempt of a successor to this game. Ubisoft treated it like it was Spotify. It was a subscription based game. Overpriced too.

I cannot recommend Rocksmith 2014 Remastered enough. Don't waste your money and time with Rocksmith+

Yet another low blow to gamers from Ubisoft. This movement to Rocksmith+ is a joke. Why not just keep what was and still is good and not turn it into a whole new game with a stupid over priced subscription. People don't want subscriptions for video games. They're treating this like it's Spotify.

This game doesn't even work. It refuses to go full screen and if I try, the whole game freezes. There's no audio whatsoever. No input from the cable. Terrible. Just terrible. Played it for like no more than 10 minutes and already hated everything it.

Should have just kept Rocksmith 2014 Remastered. It was perfect. Still has so much DLC. Not to mention what DLC they've been taking down from the original Rocksmith. Plus we have the custom forge for custom DLC too. It was perfect.

Ubisoft has yet again ruined something. No surprise there.
