Nice short game with simple puzzles and story. Only problem is that the simple story has some loose ends that leave you less then satisfied. However, I can overlook these when the movement and game-play are great (only exception being getting stuck once). Would give it 9/10!

For people who do not want to read I give this 8.5/10

After completing on ranger hardcore w/ full dive it was a great experience except for some problems/oversights that come with playing on FD hud. Some of these problems would be not being able to check ammo and other resources out in the field. Only being able to see them at crafting stations. Or QTEs (but this one is my fault since first play through was full dive) and dying during at many of these sequences that were avoidable. and various other bug outs during game play.
But I'm able to over look these since I could have played with what I should have been.

Note for all those who want to play on ranger hardcore dear God the autosave points during game play are the worst, sometimes losing 12-15 minutes of progress because you got ass hammered by a lucky shotgun, getting penetrated by a sniper, and or getting absolutely railed by a gatling gun 5-6 times when you have no utility. (still a great game though)

Great game with a still active community. So buy it and have fun (play hardcore servers from experience more people play on them)

The only thing that isn't great is that I've had to buy the game again to play on Steam (for all of the achievements/full steam features to work) . As someone who bought this game in 2014 on Origin with a couple 100 hours on the game. Would have liked to get a free Steam key for consolidating game libraries.
NOTE:
If you are having problems with punkbuster kicking just go to evenbalance and install the update .exe and update it. ill never have another problem again (if you do I wouldn't know how to help)

While this is essentially RTCW with a few extra guns and updated textures. I recommend downloading and playing. Before you go if you are interested in my personal problems with the realism mode please read on.

Down here I'll be talking about by torture experience with realism. After completing the game on this mode I personally don't recommend it anyone. The first reason for this is mainly due to mission 2 right up to boss 1, This is due to the enemies of the crypt HP does not scale (Ghost zombies and Undead shield creatures) while every other enemy soldier in the game scale with the realism mode. This might just be a glitch on my end...

The second reason would be hit scan weapon. This mod as far as I'm aware does not change the weapons to projectile hits. Instead it still uses standard hit scan weapons. Yet, I can't dock any points for this since I'm not sure if it's possible to implement this kind of change into the game (I would be interested if the developer can give me a little insight or personal thoughts on this thanks :) ). If it's possible to change this aspect of realism would be slightly more enjoyable to get your a$$ handed to you.

But playing RealRTCW on anything other difficulty besides realism will be almost identical to the base game with a little more graphical flair.

In short its a nice game 7/10 With simple combat and story. But please read on if you are interested in small details :)

More in-depth
----Difference between "patched" and "unpatched" versions----
* The first obvious difference is the H-scenes. Which are 90% optional or avoidable (as long as you dont make a couple bad choices or die in specific scenes)
* The last obvious one would be the basic animated characters during dialog or during story/side story events. In the unpatched (steam version) the only thing that will be on your screen would be text boxes with nothing else. And there WILL be a large empty space on the right side of the screen. So don't panic if the game doesn't look like the screenshots shown. This is just because the game isn't in the original state (patched state).

While this complaint might just be on my end. But the biggest flaw in my option between the patched and unpatched version of the game would be the performance issues. While testing both I noticed that the patched version of the game struggles to keep 60 fps while in town or in 3rd section of the game. Shuddering between 25-40 fps depending on situation. However, these problems disappear when using the unpatched (steam version).

IMPORTANT NOTE: When using the patch you can seamlessly swap between each without starting another game save. Just use the steam file validation for unpatched state. And just reinstall the patch if you wanna use it again.

For those who are worried that the game will not run on your system and hesitating from buying. I will try to help fix some of the concerns that you may have.

1. Steams spec sheet
Steam reports that the game only supports 32 bit systems. That maybe true for things such as Windows XP or Vista since I have not tried to use either so that may vary. But from what I have tried it works on Windows 7 and 10 pro (I have not tried 8 or the home versions of 7/10).

2. Nvidia driver quarks
There's a legacy like PhysX driver that the game installs So it can run on current systems. However, this PhysX driver WILL be uninstalled every time you update your Nvidia Gpu driver (Nvidia Experience updates will not effect this) So just go into the game directory and reinstall the PhysX driver. So hopefully this will help someone that has this problem :)
NOTE: I could not tell you anything about AMD drivers (sorry)

3. Changing resolution or graphic settings
While inside of the game you cannot change any of the graphics details or resolution, for this you will need to back to exit the game and enter the directory and run the "MOHA_setup". Which is inside of the UnrealEngine3 main folder and is under the binaries subfolder.
( THESE ARE JUST WHAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED WITH THE GAME)

------Personal thoughts on the game------
The game itself runs smoothly with no fps dips.
The ADS leaning is somewhat awkward, since to move while ADS'ing you need to hold shift
Enemy AI on normal can range from a brain dead fish to deadly accurate laser at some points.
Resolution changes or detail settings on the fly are impossible.

Overall is a good game if you are buying for nostalgia purposes.

!!Better version of Destiny!! (Old)
Note:
-Microtransactions are present
but you dont need any of them
to enjoy the game.
-90% of the weapons are unlockable
-Cosmetics how ever are not free and need to be
bought.
Still at the end of the day still a enjoyable game
