Really fun game to play with friends

This game was 343i's last chance to do something with the franchise. They fumbled again (big surprise)

MCC launch was ♥♥♥♥ but at least they have consistent updates now.

Halo as a franchise is dead now, it will be milked for as much $ as Microsoft can get from it and buried.

Great game with a great story that gives you loads to think about. Fairly priced in my opinion although you could wait until it goes on sale.

Game is great. For an Early Access release there is a TON of content and it feels fairly fleshed out.

As for large zergs having the advantage it's definitely true. Going into the game, its best played with at least one other friend. At the end of the day it's a survival game so obviously the more people on your team, the bigger the advantage you will have. That being said, this game is probably one of the most solo friendly as there are a lot of features to help out solo players. You can easily craft a fast mini walker and as long as you are vigilant can usually escape zergs.

Game definitely has a lot of potential.

Developers are very open and active in development and I think with the right tinkering this could be a fun FPS shooter with a decent community.

By far one of the best singleplayer story games.

In my opinion, this game is arguably as good or even better than black ops 4.

While it may not have the fancy graphics, fancy map, gun models, or animations of BO4 this game runs better, feels smoother in terms of gameplay, and combat feels more balanced. The rechargable halo like shield idea is genius and eliminates a lot of the RNG of competitive BR games. It really is a shame to see the development to cease on this game and for the player base to be dead.

I think that the developers should have learned from the mistakes of other games such as Law Breakers and should have tried taking the game to be free to play much earlier and should have tried putting some money into marketing it.

Regardless, the game is actually pretty decent and adds a creative and unique take on the BR genre and it is very sad to see it go.

Crytek basically released this game in the most broken state they could have. My original review was quite negative to the game as there was very little optimization, frequent bugs and crashes, broken servers which had to be restarted multiple times every day, etc.

There is early access and then there is the state at which they released this game which was complete crap. Not only that but there has been almost no updates and patches since the games release in february (besides the optimization patch which has improved fps by a bit). Also, if you look at the Hunt Showdowns roadmap on their website there is no ETA for any of the "future" patches. It is becoming quite clear that Crytek released a completely broken game which was not even ready for early access most likely as a way to generate funds considering that the company is nearing bankruptcy and there are even reports that the Crytek has not been paying their employees.

While the game may have been quite broken when it first came out it is now at a state which is playable and can even be enjoyable. I am glad that Crytek is still patching this game even though I feel that updates could come faster. Looking forward to seeing more updates to the game.
