It's fun so far. Definitely takes me back to that nostalgic feeling I had watching .hack//sign. There's not many decent VR games, and even fewer VRMMOs. So, despite having issues with the text being jumbled in places, falling through the world at points, climbing 'the air' somehow, and other bugs.. I enjoyed it. It just released, so I'll give them the benefit of being new and see how they improve the game. Very enjoyable.I just wish companies didn't have to limit their visuals based on if the quest 2 can run it or not. Hardly any games make use of the potential of my Cosmos Vive Elite.

After just completing the first Subnautica and getting every achievement, I decided to pick up and play Below Zero blind, just like with the first game. The more I played BZ, the more I wanted to just stop playing. The story and characters are ridiculous, with a focus on Marvel-tier comedy and making Robin have no sense of danger as she whimsically explores the planet. The plot has many issues, which I don't want to get into spoiler territory but Robin's reactions to the things she encounters make no believable sense.

Game mechanics wise, I hate the amount of time I have to spend on land, especially early on without any vehicles. I don't like that the item/scan progression is both super quick and super slow. Like why do you have to go explore Delta Station before you're even allowed to get the Habitat builder? Why is it that by the time you reach delta station you can already craft everything for the sea truck? Why is half the stuff I see not scannable/buildable? Why do I have to scan stuff at all if there is a space station in orbit?

There's too many questions, and I don't like that they threw a lot of the world-building data-pads away for focus on a group of scientists who are all boring. It sucks. Hopefully they decide to fix it, but I doubt it.

This is one of the few games to make me cry. A brilliant puzzle game, with collectible items that teaches you about world war 1. The voice acting is pretty great, and the narration by Walt is the absolute best. Taught me a lot about world war 1 that I would've never thought to be interested in otherwise.

In no uncertain terms can I recommend this game to anyone. Having put hundreds of hours into Alpha back in 2013, I was unimaginably excited when this game was finally announced for release. Six years of twitter update teases and what I thought was going to be amazing additions to the game, instead I got the most shallow experience possible. The game has entirely less features that the Alpha build that was released over six years prior.

Pros:
The Music is nice.

Teleporting to shrines is cool I guess

Cons:
Towns and villages are wholly uninspired, having seemingly no coherent layout, and NPCs constantly run into walls.

This game is not an RPG, as there are no levels or EXP to gain. Enemies are scaled in a classic scale of difficulty, green being weak, purple and yellow being strong. It does not matter what strength they have, as every enemy will almost assuredly one shot you.

Terrain generation is absurd, and there is no fog of war to keep you guessing as to what's beyond the horizon. Look at anything anywhere on the map at any time. There's no surprises if you can visually see a castle across the ocean on your map.

Region locked progression. Starting a new character is more or less equivalent to entering a new biome. Your gear vanishes (Good luck if you are hang-gliding, as you will most certainly fall to your death if you cross into another zone. Unless you get a lucky rare dropped + gear, all of your equipment is also useless. You have to find everything all over again, and the only thing you keep are your artifacts, which only give like .4% buff that diminishes with each additional biome explored.

Skills and upgrading skills were removed outright. Have fun spamming your ult and hiding in a tree to kill stuff.

Every quest is some iteration of 'Go here and kill everything.' No quest log, no variety.

I will not be marking this review as received for free, as I paid for it six years ago. I cannot recommend this game to anyone. It's like paying for a new car, but waiting six years for a repair; and your car's frame is the only thing that you get back. I've been bamboozled for the last time.

I do not recommend this game based on Developer decisions. Doesn't matter, my review will be filtered out as hate speech.

This game was a lot of fun, until I spent the entire game being propped up on really cool stuff like "the ship of the dead" in "The town." Too bad that neither of these things are actually in the game, and it seems the 'final release' of the game cut out a lot of promises from the alpha build. So neat. Skip this game.

I cannot understand why this game went so far under the radar, and why it's so widely regarded as being a steaming pile of ♥♥♥♥ by people who probably haven't even played it. For example, go on youtube and look up any video about this game. The most you'll find is a video with less than 150k views. Everything else is less than a thousand.

My opinion: This is a good game.
It took me roughly 19 hours to complete, with going and doing all of the optional side quests. I did not try the multiplayer, since absolutely no one is playing it.

Lost planet, as a series, hasn't ever really had an amazing story to begin with. It's a capcom series about fighting giant monsters and the story is kind of a backdrop to that. A bunch of crazy roided up characters fight monsters and the space government while using giant robots to do it.

Lost Planet 3, as a prequel, made sense in its delivery. A game that lended itself more towards a survival horror and I think it worked. Given that the Harmonizer hasn't been invented, and people don't know much about the planet at this point in time; taking things slower and focusing on the exploration and discovery of monsters and the world was a good idea for this entry.

There's a few very bad game breaking bugs. Notably the claw arm turning indicating that you need to 'press w a s & d' when you really just need to mash F. Also after leaving Picket's Folly for the first time, if you attempt to climb Shackleton's Peak, you'll break your save. So just don't do it.

I really enjoyed this game, probably because there's so many current titles that are half-sold with microtransactions and loot boxes and non-existent stories. ... I don't know.

TL;DR. It's a good game if you just want a story-driven monster fighting game. Don't expect Shakespeare. Jim is a likeable protagonist. Even with the bugs it was a 8/10. I recommend this game.
