This is a true STALKER game, from the atmosphere to the weird quirks/jank we have come to accept in the STALKER Franchise. Even though as of this post I'm still in the "Starter" region of the game, the game offers up a proper challenge on STALKER (Normal Difficulty) and has already killed me several times as a result of not paying attention (The game displays each time the Zone kills you).

Do I really recommend this game? Yes, as a STALKER Fan of the OG Trilogy and being brought back in via STALKER Anomaly, this is worth getting at least for the Base Version.

Remember STALKERS, stay alert and watch your backs.

Update: As of November 29th 2024, GSC has released a 13 GB Fix update, it has resolved the Memory Leak and performance issues for most players including me.

SCP: Pandemic(soon to be called SCP 5K) has a lot of potential as a great addition to the line of SCP games out there even this early in the Alpha.

One of the biggest strengths to this game is the fact the Devs are transparent of what's going on behind the scenes in the development but also being able to interact and talk with players on issues(Very Big Plus as that's how you make a positive experience).

This game does favor Teamplay but you can do it solo too. The weapon variety is quite nice along with the customization of attachments to help enhance the weapons.

The bugs in this game are to be expected but do report them as you'll help the devs stamp them out.

As for the price(They announced not too long ago that it will be a permanent $20 USD is amazing), it's worth the price even when on-sale during big Steam sale events.

I do recommend this game(even this early in development as of Version 0.11.1) as not only will you be helping give the studio funds to keep this project going, but you can help support the SCP Community.

As of this review, the game has had a Big Server Side Update. The game is slowly becoming playable but I recommend waiting at least until the Third update goes live in December.

Other than that, the game is highly Chaotic. The gamemode Breakthrough is the definition of Pure Chaos, So many explosions and people being downed so quickly. The 128-Player Conquest gamemode is bonkers is to put it mildly.

Hazard Zone needs a lot more work, right now it's only viewed as a means to earning big chunks of EXP.

The big pull is Battlefield Portal, I can already tell you that spending a full hour in building a custom Game Mode with the Logic Editor can be a little overwhelming but once you get it down, you can make some wacky games.

I look forward to the full release of this game, it has so much potential like it's predecessor the First Subnautica game. It's a bit more difficult but it's a welcomed challenge with more story content to match it's new environment. I recommend picking up this game even in Early Access.

This game was an absolute mistake to buy, if the Steam Refund policy was around when I bought this game, I would have used it. However, at least a few mods made the game somewhat tolerable but I will never recommend Aliens: Colonial Marines.

As a Veteran of both of the First Planetside game and now Planetside 2, I have yet to find a game that can match the amount player involvement like this series has offered for the past 15 years. The game is still being developed even after 6 years since its release back in 2012, which is a great sign. The Factions(empires) are the New Conglomerate(NC), the Terran Republic(TR) and the Vanu Soverignty(VS). Each Empires has a unique weapon and vehicle preference, for example the NC has access to weapons that are slow firing but hit hard and have incredible range with vehicles that are built to withstand punishment but are slow. Each Empire has benefits but also weaknesses, so be ready to learn how to exploit those weaknesses.

As a closing note and reminder to players coming into the game, Communication is Key to winning battles.

As a Free to Play MMO FPS game, I do recommend giving this game a try and if you like it, find an Outfit to join on there with the Faction you chose to play as.

Update: Yes, it took me 6 years of playing it to finally write up a review :P

I've been playing this game off and on for a year while it was still in Early Access, but I highly enjoy the polish and feel of this great Indie game with the amount of things you can do in it being quite high. But it's the ambience of being in the sea with all the fish swimming by you or your base, the sounds of the deep sea creatures like the Reefbacks calls echoing through the water along with the fantastic soundtrack of this game.

I do highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a good solid Survival game.

One of the very few games I have used to teach my students about space but also how to be creative when making rockets, planes or spaceships. I highly recommend this as a fun way to teach kids and have some fun while doing it. :)

This game is absolutely amazing. The puzzles can be deceptively simple but challenging, the single player campaign is a blast playing and then the Co-Op adds in a pair of robots that have more personality than any other virtual character I have ever seen. This game is worth getting and playing. :)

A Classic from a time when Valve once made games that have stood the test of time.
