Is Robbie Rotten truly a villain, as people in Lazy Town calls him?

In Lazy Town, state of calmness and rest, so called “laziness” is shunned and shamed, as if someone is committing a great sin. Maniacally driven by Sportaflop, people are forced to be in constant action, which leaves no room for calmness and rest. This fascism will ultimately lead to exhaustion and exploitation of people, therefore leading to the doom of a small society.

However, unlike Sportaflop, who follows and guides the town’s consensus, Robbie Rotten, being a rebel, chose to go against the social norm to have his own peace and relaxation in his lair, since he instinctively knew the value of rest.

Here, Robbie decides to become “the Villain number one” in the town, in hope to overthrow the flawed “Superhero” Sportaflop.
