It's the good ol' days of Overwatch except I can play as Groot. 10/10

Had to stop playing this game for the sake of my personal life (I bought it on Switch anyway)

The game is very fun, peak comedy. Recommend playing during the day if you're NA, at night you have to play with Europeans and somehow every European on here is the most vile being ever conjured.

Superior Starship Troopers game

In its Early Access state, Talespire is a gorgeous and easy to use tabletop map creator. Being able to create the maps I need within Talespire allows me to make my games a lot more immersive for my players as opposed to using online battle maps that are made for specific scenarios that the artist made them around.

The only thing I am waiting on is more themed assets as my world has a lot of Eastern Inspired areas so creating towns with that aesthetic becomes difficult. Additionally I am waiting on either a miniature creator or the ability to port Hero Forge models.

Overall the game is great and I can't wait to build more and use it with my other groups as well!

After getting my first clear I think I can give a review despite the fact that the game isn't over yet.

Hades is a captivating rogue-like filled with charming characters, fast paced action and in depth upgrade systems that blend together. After 13 hours and getting my first clear I already can't wait to get started on my next run with the new modifiers offered in the "new game+" equivalent.

Story and Characters:
The story is a fairly simple but is given deeper meaning because of the challenges you face as you make your way out of the Underworld. The narrative evolves each time you die as new dialogue options and mechanics open up with each death. The cast of characters definitely helps carry the story forward and gives you a sense of motivation.

Gameplay:
This game is very addicting. Each time I hopped off I had to fight myself from getting back on and trying another run. The insane builds you can create from boons and upgrades are plentiful making it feel like no 2 runs are the same. Enemies are challenging yet not unfair. The bosses are fine in terms of presentation but really shine in terms of difficulty. Nothing feels greater than getting powerful boons that help you shred through your enemies.

Sound:
Music is 10/10, sound design is 10/10, really nothing else to say here you just gotta hear it yourself.

Overall a solid 9.5, I really would love some more interesting bosses, although maybe they await me in my 2nd clear?

Literally the only fun multiplayer game to come out this year.

Red Dead Redemption brings you one of the most compelling stories and likeable characters that Rockstar has ever created. The core gameplay loop is very enjoyable, but not without it's shortcomings. I want to get everything negative I have to say about the game out of the way:

Negatives:
The game can't decide whether or not it wants to give you the freedom to do as you please in this gritty western world they've created or if they should hold your hand like the little baby you are. Missions are so linear and require such specific tasks to be completed that it feels like a slap to the face to the massive open world they've created for players to venture through. On one hand you can be out in the world running into "random" encounters and reacting in any way you please, while on the other hand you have to complete a delivery mission by following the exact route given to you and straying even in the slightest will have the game yell at you several times until you get a game over. Missions lack creative freedom and feel insulting at times.
Another huge negative lies within this game's multiplayer. Sometimes your camp doesn't appear when you're on supply missions, other times you're unable to interact with the bounty board, and occasionally you'll run into a hacker from halfway across the world that teleports you across the map away from your objective just because he wants to blow you up. The multiplayer is buggy, hacker filled, and matchmaking for PvP modes takes forever. There is so much potential with the game's role systems, story missions, bounties, hunting, etc. but Rockstar has yet to tap into it.

The Positives:
The game is gorgeous, the atmosphere is top notch, the characters are lovable, the story is intense, and music, my God the music. I can't tell you enough about the way this game made me feel from start to finish. The opening alone reminded me of the Hateful Eight and other western films sprinkled in throughout. The entire vibe that this game gives off feels nostalgic and warm. Riding your horse through beautiful landscapes and taking on enemies with shooting mechanics that portray real impact is some of the most fun I've had in a video game to date. I love the open world a lot more than the missions sometimes, passing by people in need or triggering cool hidden scenes with creepy undertones. I encourage you to just explore the world and take your time with it, there are few games quite like Red Dead Redemption 2 and few more to come I'm sure.

Overall the game gets an 8.5/10 from me. Major issues being lack of freedom in missions and the awful multiplayer bugs. But everything else about this game is just so damn good.

Where do I even start?

I originally bought this game for PS4 back when it released in 2018. I played so much of this game to the point where I'd stay up til about 4 hours before my classes started. I loved this game then and it's even better now playing with different friends and running at a smooth 60 frames with stunning visuals. The PC version might be behind in updates but I don't mind all too much because as I usher in new friends to experience it with me I end up heading back to old hunts again and enjoy them all the same. I still haven't gotten to the Iceborne content because of this but am excited to get started as soon as my friends are ready. Monster Hunter World is one of my favourite games and a game that I'd say my favourite co-op experiences have happened in. Definitely more fun with friends but some of the randoms are super cool too! Just get the game I don't even know what else to say man, just buy it.

Pros:

Gameplay is some of the best the series has ever had.
The Story mode is really good for a fighting game and has some really amazing moments.
The variations and gear have a good amount of variety.
Tutorials are in depth and help bring lower skilled players into the game with the knowledge they need to play Online.
The game is gorgeous and runs well on my garbage PC.
Character variety is a good balance of new and classic characters with nobody feeling out of place.
Microtransactions are not forced down your throat and everything is obtainable with currency you can earn in game.
Gear doesn't affect Ranked modes.

Cons:

The Towers of Time as of right now are essentially impossible to complete.
The Krypt is very RNG and feels difficult to get the items you want.
