It's a lovely, refreshing, charming game and it does a lot of things right. However, it has some serious issues that cannot be overlooked, which has unfortunately left me with a negative feeling toward it. These mostly come to light during the final stage(s) of the game:

• It's extremely difficult (if not impossible) to change the direction of the ball with your paddle without hitting it with the edge, which then causes the ball to go off at an erratic angle.
  
• I cannot actually convey the absolute annoyance that the perk/spell popup makes me feel after playing for 6 hours.
  
• The ball regularly gets stuck under the paddle (after just barely missing it), which then obliterates whatever mercs/defence you had, usually preceded by the above (perk/spell popup).
  
• The mercs are so inconsistent about whether or not they can pick up drops
  
• The enemy projectiles are also very inconsistent about whether they damage you or not, even from the same merc!
  
• The split ball spell is basically only there to haemorrhage your health
  
• A lot of the other spells feel very inconsequential
  
• If you don't finish fast during the final stages then the enemy mercs completely stalemate the game
  
• There's a bunch of UI bugs and needs a proper spell check

I don't think the game deserves a negative review as I really enjoyed the first 4-5 hours, but I doubt I would play any more and finish the boss level until there's a bit more polish.

It's done... It's over... I've got 100% of the achievements, that means I never have to play it again, right? RIGHT?

Simply beautiful, the game is exquisitely polished, smooth and immersive.

Look at my rock, my rock is amazing. It's also covered in blood.

I would recommend starting on a nearly empty server to get a feel for the game. It's a bit like Minecraft, but far more bloodthirsty.
