One of my favorite games of all time. I love the aesthetics, the combat, the exploration, the bosses, the lore and the various locations you get to visit (or have the chance to in the case of optional areas). The game feels like a love child of dark souls and castlevania symphony of the night. In addition the music fits perfectly with the game whether it is unsettling guitar rifts as you explore the hostile island, an epic track as you attempt to slay one of the many bosses in the game, or the simple yet calming theme that plays when you are in one of the few truly safe spots on the island. Ska Studios have done a splendid job and then some creating an epic game that never ceases to amaze and entertain me in various ways.
