Never played Payday or Payday 2 however playing this game has given me a newfound desire to go back and appreciate them for the pathway they created to this glorious game.

The Upsides;
- Music is incredible, makes me want to play missions over and over just bopping my head.
- Gunplay is Cleancut and to the point.
- Movement is Great, got that arcade style vibe to it.
- Heists so far have been Diverse and I am incentivised to replay them.
- The Repeatability, Go Loud or go Quiet, Achieve Challenges, no reason to not keep playing the maps over.
- The skill trees look expansive and each one really feels like each member of a team is paramount to part of the heist, whether that is Hacking, Hostage Taking, Supplies, Lockpicking and the list goes on.
- Variety of Clothing and Guns gives you an incentive you to keep playing.

The Downsides:
- On the higher difficulties if you don't have a well communicated squad who are prepared past Hard you will struggle exponentially with the waves upon waves of SWAT.
- Still a bit buggy with some level up rewards not being able to be equipped even though you have progressed past that level. This potentially will get amended soon as it's Valve.
- If you are hoping to hop in and have a plethora of guns at your disposal I am afraid you will be disappointed. Not that there isn't a lot of guns just you will need to play with the initial AR and Pistol for a good while before getting those Juicy Weapons.

So whether your skill level is Morgan Freeman in Going in Style or Robert De Niro in Heat, you'll have plenty to enjoy here.

Buy Star Citizen instead.

Yeah it's a game.

Always wanted to go to Iceland, now I have.

If you struggle at the first boss this game won't be for you. No shame in that, some games just aren't for some people.

As a Wise Chief Engineer once said, "Get your laughs in while you can Tourist, because you'll be refunding it soon enough."

I bought this game a while while back way when the Beta went Live. I dropped it as it was a Bug Ridden Hell.

I now play it once again and the Developers have made leaps and bounds with bug fixes, Facial animations are incredible along the voice acting which really cements you into being invested with characters involved in the universe of Baldurs Gate 3. I remain shocked even though I shouldn't be as this is the first game in a while where its release actually feels like a fully completed and passionate game. Congratulations to the Developers as there hard work has paid off and I can happily say this will now forever hold a special place in my heart.

You want my opinion, Support these developers as they are seemingly the only Developers who haven't allowed external influence to monetise this game and have released it in their own vision which is a very hard thing these days as shown by other Developers. I used to have a lot of faith in Developers leading up to as of late being CD Projekt Red, Bethesda, Bioware. But with new releases that faith has been broken by terrible game releases and false promises, now I can happily say that there is one Developer I can put my faith back into and know that any games they release going forward will not only have the polish that those experienced in this field should have but also the love for making games and wanting to tell a story.

In this case actions are speaking louder than words.

As of now this game has been deleted from my account as steam have refused a refund.

Update 02/05/2023; Currently now stuck and unable to progress no matter how low the settings are placed. Now continuously freezing or crashing at the cutscene before releasing Dagan and cannot seemingly fix this whatsoever. Can't even refund it either now, such a waste of money. It isn't my PC as it is a perfectly capable machine. Specs are as below;

32gb of Ram

2nd, Negative Review; I at this current stage do not recommend to get this game. Whether it is different for other people I cannot run it even with their supposed new patch. I have submitted refund requests but to no avail have not been accepted. Hopefully Valve can change their mind but do not buy this game. Might work in the first part but proceed past that and it is an unplayable crash simulator.


Update; It runs so bad now I am in the second half I wholeheartedly recommend to other people that they do not buy this game at its current state.


1st, Positive Review;

Well turns out I was one of the lucky few who could manage to run the game. So I could say its just unlucky for others but its probably a skill issue i won't lie. Anyway the review;

So far 2 hours in and having completed the main tutorial-ish area to setup the story I am pleasantly surprised. This game doesn't wipe the progress you made in the first game with obtaining your skills and abilities with some stupid plot skill regression. You for the most part from the get-go can use what you have earned which is a breath of fresh air. Combat feels nice and somewhat improved from the previous with a few additions with that of your Squadmate and a new ability. Won't spoil it for you though, gotta get past that load screen :).

For what I have played i would definitely recommend for fans of the first game but maybe wait until the Dev Team drop a day one patch to improve performance but I can't comment on others experiences. Bearing this in mind this before any patches are applied and I am playing on High, with Raytracing whilst also streaming to Discord also. The occasional stutter is prevalent but it is no way shameful for the game. So don't hate on the game, give it some time and hey enjoy what is probably the only decent product of star wars which is out. Other than Andor though, i'd recommend that.

I was one of the people that didn't manage to complete the Lake Jigsaw Puzzle within two turns. I won't ever get back those 30 Minutes.

Now I know why my Father said I wouldn't be able to be an engineer. I scream too much.

Bought to play with my friend group once. Decapitated the heads of two of them and died to an arrow in my eye. Who would've known that the game predicts the future since I am no longer associated with the two.






P.S. No they weren't decapitated.
