I got 8 copies of this game for $5 and can play it on LAN, but if you wanna play actual online mode you're SOL.

There's no reason to buy this at any price above what I paid, and I do not reccomend it.

It's a horrible game.
Just go play Blacklight: Retribution if you want to see what this should've been.

This game is great once you get over the insanely difficult starting part.
You're king of the world once you get guns and a base, but starting with a rock when things can kill you in three or so hits whilst having to find food constantly to keep yourself alive is pretty hard.

After months of refusing to respond to the Astralis women's team's request for equality in default agent selection, meaning that women have to buy cosmetics from the community market just to play as their gender as of writing in 2024, I'm not quite sure anyone's even working on fixing this game anymore. Hear me out: they can't add a grand total of two new models to the game? Can't even publicly commit to something that simple? How are they supposed to fix any of the actually difficult issues? The cheating problem? The XP botting problem? The griefing, bigotry, and toxic behavior all throughout the community? The fact that players are driven away from community content because it's so hidden, barely functional, and doesn't reward players for playing? The economy balance now that the 16 rounds required to win in CSGO is now 13? The absolutely horrible performance-to-visuals ratio? I mean come on, we can't even get DLSS2, FSR2, or XeSS to make up for how badly the water, smoke, and physics objects ruin the framerate, we're stuck with literal worst-of-the-worst FSR1 that is only slightly a better solution than just lowering the resolution. It, to me, is clear that the CS2 team is drastically understaffed and there's no chance CS2 blossoms into a great game any time soon.

I've been hopeful for this long, but something as small as default female agents is something that should've been addressed day one of CS2 when they removed all but two default factions. Then it should've been remedied when a professional women's team asked privately months ago instead of being met with dead silence. Now it's been over a week since the team went public with their request and yet they can't even get the Counter-Strike Twitter account to give an official response to the open letter. Even if this doesn't feel personally offensive to you, imagine how long it's going to take the developers to fix YOUR complaints when they're not even capable of something this dead simple.

*Takes one last puff of copium.*

There's a chance they're holding off until after the major to drop some big update to prove they're listening and that they care, but if that doesn't happen, I think it's unfortunately high time I give Valorant a shot.

The game's awesome, the only downsides are: It's a little hard, you WILL die, and it's got so much content you need a FAQ to figure out whats going on occasionally.

Really fun if you like poker, and if you have TF2 you can brag to everyone about your nice Kanye West shades.

I used to have a positive review of this game on here, but man, that was from like 7 years ago when people actually played online and I was a kid who didn't mind the poor framerates I was getting on my outdated PC. Now it's a dead game that still runs poorly with terrible driving physics and awful weak weaponry and obnoxious missions and garbage DRM and, as of recent, a lot less modding because Rockstar shut it down.

And you can't even get the fingerless gloves on the cover, you'd need to mod to do that.
