I thank my friend that purchased this for me. It's been a valuable experience.

However, it *is* Starfield.

Gonna keep it short: if TESVI is like this, it won't be worth the wait.

ONLY RECOMMENDED IF YOU'RE IN IT FOR THE ART ASSETS and if you enjoy puzzles.

Scorn is a beautifully ugly game, the sound design matches this wonderfully. The environments in game are stunningly grotesque and almost every square inch of artificial structure is unpleasant and possibly disturbing.

That's why you play Scorn. It's great, if you want to experience something that makes you naturally want to recoil in disgust without actually shoving your hands in some kind of biological orifice specifically designed to accept hands.

The shooting is NOT the main feature. If you're looking for a great shooter, the ingredients are there, but they aren't the main dish. You might not actually want to eat while playing, to be fair.

I bought Scorn because it looked cool. Because it LOOKED cool. The visuals and worldbuilding part. It is something of very high quality best experienced slowly and methodically, to be poked and proved, not to be consumed en masse and to the same standard as DOOM or Wolfenstein, more Half-Life (maybe?) or Portal, perhaps more accurately a more interactive Dear Esther.

If it was longer, really fleshed (heh) out the world more, and had some more weapons, I think it could be something truly amazing. As is, it's a work of art, a masterpiece of design, and a pretty good video game to boot.

9/10 Would be grossed out again.

A wasteland of potential.

Bethesda's own monument to it's sub-par game design, Fallout 4 has all the window dressing of a fine game, maybe even finely upholstered furniture, yet it's all entirely wasted on an experience derivative of far better titles. It is born of lowest-common-denominator-pleasing concepts adopted by a company bored of it's own potential to make interesting games anymore.

Where Fallout: New Vegas has no central theme due to it's actual understanding of how the world works, despite the wasteland's various improbable features, Fallout 4 has no theme. Literally. It doesn't tell a story worth telling. FNV's story and theme GENERALLY tell the story of how to properly rebuild the world.

Fallout 4 decided to throw that central concept into a meat grinder, load it with preservatives, package it with a load of other macerated concepts in nice little digestible patty shapes in a plastic sleeve, slapped a sticker on it, and threw it in the freezer isle. Might keep you fed, but it won't stick with you.

Would I recommend it? ♥♥♥♥ no. Don't buy this until it's fixed?

It is a ton of fun if you are willing to put up with a mountain of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kills, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bugs, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crashes, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ features, and plenty more.

Angry Joe's video does a decent job of exposing the ♥♥♥♥ storm of a game this is, even if I think he caught the worst of it.

If you're not super competitive, super serious, or if you think Battlefield died with Battlefield 5, go ahead. It's still fun in my opinion. The only thing that stops the fun is the bugs, and there's plenty, so be ready.

I'd say about a 5/10. An essay written in broken English, twisted logic, and an unfocused topic. Plaster it with a failing grade and note "A true dumpster fire. Would definitely watch burn to the ground again."

I hopped on this franchise years ago with AOE3, so I never got to play AOE2 as a kid. I quite like this, and it does have minor flaws here and there, like unit selection, UI weirdness, and amount of content. Also, cannons/siege equipment being without operators, just the equipment moving around is odd.

I'm very happy to be playing a new RTS, and one as well fleshed out and solid as this.

Biggest issue? Popcap. Please, please. please allow for a larger popcap. Make it an option per match or something, that'd be great. Make it like

Reduced - 100
Classic - 200
High - 300
Super High - 400
Extremely High - 500 (Warning: May cause poor performance)

I think we'd all be praising that.

This needs more reviews.

Absolutely beautiful, completely story driven, point and click(?) adventure. Everyone should experience this, and I have a feeling a lot of people will.

It's a modern Wolfenstein game. While it's a little faster paced than the last one I'd say, it's certainly starts out depressingly. The campaign's short, at about halfway through I thought I had just started the campaign. A few missions later and I was done.

My view is tainted by the fact I bought it half price. It's a bit of a stretch to say its worth more than $40 even. Issues I came across were the normal ones. Alt-tab crashes, getting stuck on walls, loss of direction, and my personal beef with the controls. The weapon wheel (it's only there because of console) is unintuitive at best and a pain to use. I had to enter a fight, die, then make Blazkowicz hold the right guns to deal with the enemies coming up. Using it during combat is a chore, as it doesn't slow the game down to give you a breather just to pull a weapon.

I get that the whole "slow time down just to swtich weapons and abilities" thing is a cliche and it's everywhere, but I really appreciate the time to make sure I'm selecting the right one.

Maybe I just need to git gud. Whatever. A mild annoyance.

THE BIGGEST ISSUE: It's a platform for DLC distribution, and if it isn't, it's a transitionary game to the next. One that will likely culminate in the U.S. being liberated in a good ol' fashioned Starwars style Death Star explosion fireworks on Endor kinda deal. This one just sets up the next game HARD, leaving you a little underwhelmed, arguably.

I give it 8 / 10. While it's a good romp, story's lacking and the reason seems pretty obvious. Would tentatively recommend.

I'm saddened by the general consensus on this game. A "Mixed" rating on the steam page is fairly disheartening. However, I understand, in almost every aspect, the concerns and point given by those who have reviewed it in its current state. It is a click fest, the diplomacy is basic, and the trade system is a bit ridiculous.

The game, as it stands, is unfortunate. The replayability is low and my games are usually short. I love a long game, with interesting diplomatic exchanges, usually in the form of major relationships forming or major wars. In this game, neither really ever appear. In Civ 5, I could do all of that. In this game, it's the only thing I feel is VERY difficult to do. Diplomacy takes a hit with this one.

The rest of the game is just fantastic. Many have said it, but I feel the trade system is a bit overpowered and I don't think it's a problem. Trade facilitates positive relationships, something I feel Civ 5 glossed over. I don't actually ever remember another nation say " I'm glad we're trading." The tutorial is really helpful and after one playthrough I learned I all needed to be successful in all other playthroughs. The unit progession is nice and I'm quite happy with the late game variety. The affinities are nice approach to ideology, changing the look of your cities and troops. I also REALLY love how the leaders change in accordance to their own affinities.

Some will complain about the leaders. I think they're alright. They have great animation, different personalities (as I can tell), and a good aesthetic other than Elodie. I'm not a huge fan of the direction they took her. I'm not just poking at the French here, I just feel like she is the least developed.

The game stands alone as a great title. There's not a whole lot wrong with it other than replayability. There really is no reason to play it after seeing the different landcapes and playing through the affinities. That's probably where I draw a line.

I agree with what TB said in his Youtube video. It suffers from its thematic. It's a great game as is, just not what we had hoped it to be. After some expansions, I'm sure it'll be even better.

I recommend it. $50 is a bit steep, but I think Firaxis has earned something for this. They wanted to make this work and fell short of expectations.
