Regarding your SPORE crashing error, if it is ACCESS_VIOLATION 0x00000044 error, I doubt you can do much about it since it's a crash that exists since release. Whilst you could try loading an earlier savegame on the same planet (if you have logged your previous saves!), but that means fiddling around with the Games savefile, which can lead to a whole other number of issues if done incorrectly.

What I'm trying to say, your save is corrupted and you can throw it out of the window, you can only hope it doesn't appear on another game (new planet), if it does I'd recommend letting Steam check your game files for any corruption.
