Yeah this game is for you.

At its core this plays somewhat like a roguelike due to its brutal difficulty and random spell and rune choices. But without the progression unlocks.

All spells affect a "Target" you can either designate a target by click an enemy/area in your cast range, or by casting a "Target" spell before your normal spell, these are essentially spells that allow you to target enemies en masse or farher away. this can lead to some very fun combos.

Pretty fun asymetrcal game with short rounds and more sane progressiom.

And now after 100 hours I'd want to add that, the gameplay loop is pretty sweet, the game complexity is not as high as is usual in sociial deduction games but arguably thats a good thing as it makes the game a lot more easly accesible. On top of that invidividual player autonomy is a lot more pronounced, you can almost always make a difference and lift up team mates that are not as good.

The game starts you off with not every item available to you both as you play you unlock more and more items to pick up, essentially the first item you pick up is always a random one and then you subsequently in a match can pick from a selection of items that grows by unlocking them, which lets you at a pretty nice pace learn what the individual iitems do without overwhelming you.

The devs are pretty great and openly accept bug reports in the discord of which ive made a few and these bugs are adressed, this is very nice to see because the way you report bugs here is a lot more direct and opaque, I record a clip, open a ticket and attach the video, this makes it a lot smpler for the devs to replicate and fix bugs VS just pure text.

The community itself is pretty good, but as with any social games theres always going to be those people with nothing better to do than to harrass and abuse others, luckly though you can report these people and mods do take acton against them, on top of the normal ini game report you can send clips through their discord report bot to proviide video evidence of someone being racist sexist etc. or even cheating.

Cheating, now we'll have to split this into 2 parts because theres 2 main kinds of cheating, actual game modifications and abusing exploits.
Exploit use is of course higher when one exists but is also not that common, the devs also take bug reports as mentioned previously for these and fix them, which was done iin the most recently in the Season2 patch 1

"Hacking" or cheating via modifying the game is incredibly rare, to the point where in 120 hours of playtime i have seen exactly a singular player do this, but people pretty unanimously choose to report that kind of behaviour and additionally you can also send evidence of this via the bot

All in all im very happy with how the staff team treat both bug reports as well as reports of misconduct and am happy with the processes in place for reporting since usually reports are restrained to pure text and with pure text unless its something trackable like someone trolling by downing innnocents randomly over and over again it has to go off of pure volume of reports which is a lot slower acting than when people can just give direct evidence of misconduct

What we have here is a pretty promising EA concept with a solid showcase of what the game can do
You may have heard people call it "pokemon with guns" but if thats what you want, im sorry ot say that thats just a silly meme. This is not a turn based combat JRPG.

The gaeplay style is a lot more similiar to Dgimon World with a mixture of ARK Survival evolved and some BOTW for good measure.
With the survival context it is very apparent that the devs learnt a lot from Craftopia their previous project and have aimed to make survival feel more fun, exploration mroe rewardiing and tomake the grind feel a lot better, especially with pals.

Initial bearings can take a bit to get at first depending on how familiar you are with the survival game , but the game tries to pretty decently hold your hand a lttle bit with some little mini quests at the right top of the screen, which you howeve can fully ignore and do what you want to do if you dont care about hhow the game thnks you should play.
