I started to play this game on a friend's recommendation, and I've decided that I should listen to the said friend's taste more in the future. I wouldn't go far enough to declare this game a gold find, but It is a decent time kill with a story. You pick one of the pre-created characters and open your eyes in an island that you have no memory of arriving. Then, the fun begins. Yes, How to Survive is a fun game, with a neat co-op option and some interesting DLCs. It is your basic zombie hunt/survival and some good time. The setting isn't actually creative, yet the crafting options are diverse. Me being a fan of the isometric camera really tips the balance on the game's favor. If you are into hack & slash rpgs, and 'Lost' crossing over 'Walking Dead' sounds interesting to you, you should buy this game. Oh, btw: there is a decent discount going on at the moment, so It will be a good time as any. Have fun!

Well, there has been some time since I've played a game this intriguing. L.A. Noire is more like a classical 'noir' movie rather than a computer game, and you get to play the star of the movie! The storyline centers a young, promising police officer -later detective- named Cole Phelps in 1940s Los Angeles. His tale has everything: crime, murder, trauma, love, politics, justice, conflict of interest and ethics... mostly conflict everywhere.

The atmosphere is magnificent, graphics are more than satisfying and story builds around many twists and turns, always keeping you wondering about what might come next. The investigation process is well displayed, heavily depending on observation, whether it be a mimic of a suspect, or a tone in the witness' voice. The environment is wast and it is possible to get lost if you're not following the map indicators. You carry the full option of roaming the streets of L.A. to hunt for all kinds of achievements, and even venture out to solve trivial street crimes. I once again agreed that Rockstar never abstains from investing in environment design.

Controls of the game is a bit hard to master in PC though, I think this game is better suited for PS or Xbox in that manner. Vehicles are impossibly hard to control - at least for me, but my reflexes were never that great so I'm not the one to have a final call on that - and that would be the sole minus for me that I've observed so far. I found myself preferring my partner to drive rather than myself, and that's a bit disappointing. Oh, well: I'm not in for the perfection anyhow.

I recommend it with CAPITAL CHARACTERS; for the story, graphics and display altogether.

One of your usual Tycoon games, telling the story of Armand LeBoeuf: a young french chef who just graduated from culinary school. We play through the basics of financial management, collect recipes of world cuisine and train other chefs to challenge the authority of OmniFood, a corporate firm that monopolized food industry years ago. Aside from side goals being a bit challenging to accomplish, the actual campaign is easy to get done. All you have to do is get things in order and wait till the end of month, which makes this game real casual and relaxing, more like a simulation even.

So far, I can count this game as one of my favorite tycoon games, aside from old classics like Theme Hospital or Zoo Tycoon. It gives you a perspective on food business and presents the basics of becoming a restauranteur. It is fun, and educating in a manner. Never have been a good cook myself, I get to stumble upon some really cool recipes that I'd like to try someday :) If you're into the subject, it's a neat game.

I have always enjoyed Puzzle Platform games, yet I never found the time, nor the means to try a Tomb Raider game and see if it deserves its nearly 20 year old glory. I decided to give the experience a try with the original game, and I must say, I am more than satisfied. The complexity of every single level and the abscence of a map drives you to think for yourself, and challenges your sense of direction. Puzzles are neatly put, containing subtle references to mythological elements of the setting. Combats are present only to add to the atmosphere rather than presenting actual action so far, but action element has always been optional in Puzzle Platforms for me. I find the game to be brilliant, well-thought and challenging both for its age, and present. The original title is self explanatory for the series fame and success.

Well, there is a reason that this game became an all-time favorite among PopCap Games. It has a funny concept full of word puns and mainstream humor, arranged into an addictive defence game. If you want to clear your mind, and think nothing for a while, it is an excellent choice to pass some time. It is a bonus that the game is child friendly, and appeals to all ages. A+ for the flavour.

This second installment in the Brink of Consciousness series serves as both a stand-alone Victorian detective story with a slight touch of occult, and a vague prologue for Oscar's tale in Dorian Gray Syndrome, for the perceptive gamer. I most certainly liked it. The terror factor is lighter compared to the first game, yet the elegance of Victorian Gothic is present and well grasped. It serves as an adventure game rather than a HOG however, which makes the game memorable compared to others of the genre. If you've played the first game, this prequel is meaningful. I advice the tone, and the experience.

This is, by far the best hidden object game that I've played around here so far. Actually, it would be demeaning to call it only a hidden object game. In-depth psychosis depicted with great atmosphere and a neatly arranged storyline. Our serial killer 'Oscar' - nice reference to Oscar Wilde, creator of Dorian Gray - is worth meeting. The methods and artistic demeanor of our host/psychopath makes him a character to remember. I'd like to add that the art work is well above the ordinary expected from the HOG genre. Besides being a well arranged adventure, including some well thought puzzles and a wide range of areas to explore, a bonus chapter awaits at the end, for an epilogue. I warn you though; there is no happy ending in Oscar's domain!

...as expected, not much revealed about the identity or the origin of the said Mirror in this sequel. Sadly, there aren't as many worlds in this game compared to the first one either. The game play is flashier, yet pretty much straight forward. Kinda liked the first game better, actually. Adding some animations doesn't establish a keen atmosphere really. All in all, it is not a must, but it has been fun in the sense of basic genre.

Well, not bad at all. Still, it would be nice to get an idea, or some background story to be revealed about the mirror itself when you complete the game. Oh, well. Won't know until I play the sequel of the game. So far, so good for a hidden object game. Yeah, I do recommend for people who like the genre and wanna kill some time :)

This is by far the greatest PC RPG that I've ever played since Baldur's Gate series! I seriously found myself missing the isometric camera view, and this game fed into my hunger even more! :) The social interaction between player characters are well arranged, laws of physics are all over the battle scenes, main plot is interesting, and the game world is very rich. Using Rock-Paper-Scissors to decide arguments between parties is both humorious and imaginative, and it was my favorite part in the game. I strongly recommend the experience to all RPG lovers! This game is a must :)
