If you are a fan of Copen's aerial combat from the previous games, Save your money. Long rant ahead, but please read it. It'll save you from wasting time with this game.

they nerfed Copen into the GROUND. only ONE dash (regardless of if you dash into an enemy) and NO bullit reloads. Yeah... the only way to reload your ONE dash is to hit the ground... That's it. Also, you can't lock-on to an enemy from dashing into them while you're on the ground.... (Unless you purchase it as an upgrade.)

Also they give you the ability to infinitely heal yourself to 100% hp as an ability. The cost for doing so? Your multipliers drop to 0 (just like when you hit a checkpoint), don't have a multiplier going? It's free then. Literally the only times i died in this game were due to pitfalls because they killed his dash.

The story is non-existant. It's literally:

Copen: This is a weird place, let's beat up everyone here for no reason to keep moving forward.

The melee mechanics aren't bad... Except for the stupid buzz saw that comes up when you hold down the attack button.

All in all, this is basically the "Megaman X7" of Gunvolt.

But hey.... They used Live2D-esque animations for the attack cut-ins.... That's worth getting this game... right?.... right?

WAY too many bugs, WAY too little content~

Just wait until it gets a pretty big discount (60%+) and then it'll be worth getting.

Early Access Review
Megaman Rouge-like? ....Why hasnt anyone else thought of this before? This game is definitely cared for by it's developer (constant patching/updates & even responds/listens to the community) and has a huge amount of replay value. (It even has co-op: Local and Online)

Tons of power ups are scattered throughout randomized stages, bosses are quite challenging & this game even caters to speedrunners/ item collectors.

Also, if you don't like a certain aspect of the game, there is most likely a modifier for it (Located at the "Skulls" Kiosk)
These modifiers can make the game easier or harder depending on what modifier combinations you use.

TIPS

  • If you like playing as X, play as Nina.

  • If you're a Zero fanatic, play as Ace.

  • Be sure to use a controller. It's almost a must for this game.

    WARNINGS

Keep in mind that this does follow the route of a "Rouge-like"... This means:

    • You get only ONE life per run.

    • The game can be really punishing if you're reckless or don't plan ahead. (Lack of health drops, non-regenerating HP, etc)

    • This isn't made by Capcom. So the game won't have the same graphical style to Megaman. (This is pretty obvious)

    • This is still in beta/Early Access: You may encounter bugs/crashes and unpolished edges here or there. Instead of complaining, notify the developer, trust me, they'll listen.

    Conclusion

If you've been getting irritated by what Capcom's been doing to (or with) Megaman (Or lack there-of), you definitely NEED this game. This is literally the backscratcher to the Megaman Itch you've had for years now....

A really good game. It may be rough around the edges, but it adds to the charm of it all if you're willing to give it some time. Worth getting if you're in to classic RPGs.

Good game. Solid combat, not as grindy or RNG ridden as most quest games, overly cute and the character skill/class progression system gives this game a REALLY high-replay value. This game is also no where close to p2w for those who are willing to learn the game. There's also a character/class that fits all types of players/playstyles.

Stamina bar is a real pain though. (There is no reason why a game should limit players on how long they play a game. Period. Anyone who says other wise is simply making excuses and trying to damage control for a system that hurts the game more than it helps it.)

CS:GO Review
I dont like FPS games.....
But this does NOT play like your ordinary FPS. Well balanced, strategic, and cared for by the developers. If you're looking for a great fast paced competitive shooter with in depth mechanics, this is the game for you.
