Adorable and easily time consuming. Great graphics for what it is - even with destructable environments which sometimes cause devs to make everything out of voxels at the expense of visuals. Updates add new fixes and unlockables to the game. Even after unlocking every craftable, theres still many planets to conquer. Highly recommend playing with a friend.

Normally I listen to music while I am doing something constructive, say writing, working, drawing, etc. This was a bit different and took some getting used to. Of course I have played other music based games, like Guitar Hero, but they have a natural fluidity to them, revolving around your ability to "air guitar". AudioSurf requires a bit more attention and thought. Think of it like playing Tetris while on a rollercoaster. For that reason, I found that I enjoyed the music a bit less due to my attention being diverted to stacking colors strategically. Custom audio tracks are where this game wins. Being able to play ANY music you have sitting around on your computer is awesome. I think I had the most fun when competing for high scores on the same songs with other Steam friends. Being crowned the champion of Fade To Black, makes you feel all warm and gooey inside.

That said, I would sometimes find myself getting frustrated trying to score more points which subsequently reduce my enjoyment of some of my favorite songs, leading me to wish I was just listening to the music.

The game is fun, but is something you play on and off over the years, not fanatically.

This game boils down to Minecraft with bullets. The graphics are cleaned up a bit, meaning their textures don't look at muddied as MC. Visuals aside, the game is fun. It's a nice break from the high-powered FPS games flooding the market, particularly if you are a fan of the yearly COD/BF installments. That being said, it can lose its charm over time. The different playmodes can spice things up, but eventually the ease of head-shotting blocks will wear on you. If the devs had invested in updates, like new classes, weapons, etc -- it would have done a lot to increase the games replay value.

I would recommend this game be played with friends.
