Love, LOVE... L O V E this game! The kid that played JSRF back on the original XBOX is screaming at how fantastic this game is. I feel like i'm towards the end of the story and it feels amazing. IF YOU ARE A JSR FAN. YOU WILL LOVE THIS GAME.

Now, naturally this game being released on day one i did run into a SINGLE issue. During one of the dream sequences my frames DROPPED and i mean heavy. That Katamari Ball was eating up all of my frames and I couldn't really play without it being SUPER harsh to look at. Other than that issue, i had a few personal issues with the game.

#1. The Music is TOO repetitive. The way to play songs is through the phone and by selecting them when you find them in the world. When you find them they end up being songs that the DJ had already played recently so it doesn't expand what you've already have been listening to. After 5 hours of play I felt the songs loop a bit too frequent to the point where I noticed ONE song playing EVERY time. Apparently this game has, 31 songs to choose from once unlocked and JSRF had 21. I think the break in the mix along with the DJ talking to us every now and again helped with how repetitive it was? I did feel like the lack of someone talking to us like how DJ Professor K did, is what the game was missing. However, I did love the song selection and finding them.

#2. The police heat gain is too fast and the cutscenes with them happen too often. I'm fine with the popo being called on me for doing a little bit too many memes on the walls, but they get called immediately when you tag a single piece that's new. On top of that, you get a mini cutscene when they upgrade in heat too. GTA style. I get that they're upping the offensive, but i don't need to see the opps pulling up EVERY TIME. If it was a little notification via text from anyone in the crew saying "Look out the opps are getting stronger" type i'd be happy. But the fade to black every time you Devil May Cry combo a single cop is wild to me.

Other than those two things, I love this game and i'm fully invested on getting every achievement and playing for 100+ hours more after that. I love this game, I need/want more for/from this game and I hope it brings in a new generation of JSRF fans.

If it matters, I've purchased the Ultimate edition.

So to start the pre-order bonus of the colors was just a nice little addition to the already semi "full" color scheme on the costumes. I'm only doing World Tour(WT) in order to get the alternate costumes and although it is time consuming, it is VERY fun and WORTH the grind. To summarize WT for those who aren't sure/know about it. It's basically a "story" mode of your own Original Character(OC) where you try to find the meaning behind Strength. You learn from masters (the main roster) and gain their techniques in order to grow your own hotpot of a fighting style.

However the "build a fighting style" is where the first con exists. You're only allowed to have one motion input and one button for special moves. For example. The Hadouken is a Down, Down-Forward, Forward and any of the punches. Once equipped, you're NOT able to use the same motion input with a Kick based specials. This NEEDS to be changed , this limits the amount of moves you can use and limits the creativity of the player. I could go in-depth more on this limitation but i'll stop here (please change this Capcom)

Before moving on to the regular game outside of WT I must mention that WT is a PERFECT place for people new to Fighting Games(FGs) or SF as a whole. WT teaches you motion inputs such as Charge, Quarter Circle, and other inputs with their mini games. I've been playing FGs for a long time now, and I'm still terrible at Charge Inputs. The mini game that helps you practice it is the one where you chop the tops off glass bottles and they even have a PERFECT or GOOD voice line when you do the input. I fully recommend WT for those new and old to FGs.

Now, the regular game itself is where I was sold on it. I've always wanted to take a Street Fighter game seriously since I was always kinda bad at them. This game makes me feel kinda good even though I do have much to learn. My highest in ranked in this game is Platinum 3 as of writing this post. In SF5, I DID NOT make it past Super Bronze within my handful of hours of playing Cammy. This game? Gold 2 on my first character. This feels like a breath of fresh air and I can play this game endlessly. If I ever get a little bit of fatigue from playing, I can either swap to a character who plays entirely different, or swap to WT mode and do some funny combos on a random pedestrian.

The roster so far is very broad when it comes to skill levels required and capped. Some characters take more work to work with than others, some are just OPPRESSIVE with no work at all. As of right now, Blanka and E. Honda's Yolo strat of headbutt, and anti-air works too damn good and is kinda frustrating. The newcomers are ALL very different and fun to look and play with. Aside from JP. he's not "evil-villain" enough for my taste. Seth and M. Bison were wild crazy and his stance seems semi-political (in game no commentary on real life).

I can't do a review without listing some cons of this game as well. Firstly, the Drive Tickets and Cosmetics' system is crazily priced. The ultimate edition starts you out with a handful of Drive tickets and there are cosmetics in the Hub that use them. You can only (i think) get one item using the tickets you get from the bundle. Drive tickets are a mission based reward and the highest (i've seen) has been only 500. The cosmetics in the hub shop cost 3k+. They don't have stats nor do they have effects, but they're exclusive to that shop and it's kind of a bummer only being able to farm them when the game allows it.

Next is colorways. Each costume has 9 colors, 3 - 9 have to be purchased through the shop either by Drive Tickets OR using the power of the Credit card. Small heads up. If you buy a SINGLE color, you WILL NOT be able to buy the full bundle of colors at a discounted price. This system blows and there's no other way to get colors outside of buying them.

Lastly, my favorite part of this game is.... THE MODS not the down galactic mods.

The modding community has added so many dang cool mods i can't keep track. I have MORE than 30 mods installed, some being skin recolors, VFX recolors (changing the hadouken from blue to green for example) and even some full blown costume mods. There's one that gives Ken's default outfit a change to look like Leon Kennedy's from Resident Evil and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ looks so clean. I'm currently using an Android 18 mod on Cammy and lord have mercy it looks so good on her. I hope Capcom is fine with these in the long run because it's very fun to see what people come up with for costumes.

All in all, (TLDR) this game is really fun for everyone in all skill-levels in fighting games and is worth picking up. The cons of the mini grind for currency is the only negatives i have for this game at this moment. I hope to see this game improve in the future and welcome in more FG/SF newbies!

If you enjoy smash-likes play this.

If you enjoy Brawlhalla-likes play this.

This game is a good mixture of both series. Combos are more on the simple side like Brawlhalla and depend on angles and platforms rather than combo links like regular smash. The roster WILL grow to be the biggest crossover EVER. Better than the Jimmy Timmy Power Hour of the early 2000s.

There's 5 classes in this game all have a different play-style and pros and cons. Mage, Assassin, Brawler, Tank, Support. Lebron James is in this game as a Brawler and tbh, that mf be doing too much with that ball. Today's Day 1 of his release and he hit that mf Dunk and hurt my feelings on that Toast screen.

Honestly, this game will be fun to pick up, but expect to GRIND like never before. The Gold/Battle Pass Points are really hard to farm solo and the 30% bonus you get playing as a Duo doesn't feel like much of an increase. There is Local Multiplayer as well if you got a partner you wanna play with irl.

As of right now, it is July 27th, 2:05am. I will update this as time and the game evolves but for now, the game is an 7/10 only because of the grind. IF the grind improves, either via more drops or weekly 25 - 50% increase weekends, it'll be a 9.

10/10 will be given when i see Valhallen from the Justice Friends and the grind is made easier.

This game is by far one of the best RPGs I've ever played. Back on the PS3 the title screen song (which is a mod you MUST install for Dark Arisen) and the combat were all I've ever wanted in a game. I've played through it four times on PS3, four times on PS4, and now I'm totally gonna do another four on PS5 AND on PC.

God, this game is so amazing. I fully recommend this game for anyone looking for an open world RPG with semi complex gameplay, interesting story telling and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ an infinite amount of replayability.

So at first, i've played it up to the 2nd act. I didn't continue because i haven't had time and now that they released the mod, i can casually play this game with new content. Feels good! even though it's a bit harder than the regular game.
