Bought the game with the Black Friday sale, and what do you know? The epidemic happened on Black Friday as well.

So far I've been enjoying this game. Just the concept of an open world PVE/PVP Shooting game is so sick, and the storyline so far has been very enjoyable.

Just reached the Dark Zone and even though I died after I got rushed by elite mobs, I was so proud of the ones that I did kill.

I plan to at least finish the storymode solo and then find a group to play with to take on some of the tougher challenges. I'm excited for the 1.8 update coming up.

Backstory: I played this game back in like February. It was pretty clunky back then and I bought a Founder's pack, but I didn't really care for the game. Fast forward past my 300 hours in competitive Shardbound, and I decided to give the game a try again since it came out as EA in Steam.

I'm addicted to this game. I think this game is buggy and many cards are extremely frustrating to play against, but once I get past that hump, I find myself outplaying my opponent. Granted this will become worse as players get better, hopefully the devs fix a lot of the issues the game is riddled with asap.

It's obvious they are working hard to get the content out before properly fixing the game up, despite supporting tournaments with prize pools. And compared to some other CCG Tactical games out there, Hi Rez is doing pretty well in content.

Edit:

I see a lot of complaints on here about the "stingy" F2P. I've literally only played this game for 2 weeks, and I have every single legendary card for all 6 Pantheons. The card pool is so small, I can't see how anyone can complain right now.

It's a good game. Needs more Champions though.

I played Bloodline Champions a little bit back in college and introduced it to my organization TeSPA. I think I still have the Powerpoint somewhere in my Google Drive.

I enjoyed the concept back then and enjoy it now. I'm a fan of solo games/small-scaled fights.

I agree to some of the negative issues with the game, but I don't feel like it's any reason to not recommend the game. It's actually doing well compared to many of these new online games coming out.

Oh and the art is amazing. The gameplay is also very fluid and smooth, which is obviously important in a fast-paced game like this one.

Edit: Retracting my review and a downvote based on today's dev's blog. It's been 11? weeks since Blossom came out and no tease or hint of a new Champion.

I'll change my review if it gets better, but otherwise, week after week of disappointing blogs is pretty sad.

Edit Edit: Game is picking up again. I'll give it a thumbs up for now with the recent changes and soon to be F2P. Recent downside being the battlerite changes that take away a strategetical portion of the game.

I'm also getting a lack of depth feeling similar to HotS.

I played this game back in alpha last year after getting a key from a streamer. I remember not being able to join friends and after a few games, I decided the game wasn't for me and just another clone.

Being bored and only seeing games with no depth in gameplay and just essentially imitating the original MOBA/FPS formula, I decided to give Gigantic another shot after it came out for Steam. I'm originally from DotA and MMORPG pvp-style games, so having a MOBA-esque theme with third-person gameplay actually fit my needs.

Some elements I definitely like about the game are the strategy involved, artstyle, animations, colorful particles.
I mean your nexus/core actually jumps to the other side of the field to crush the enemy nexus/core? WTF. These Guardians are huge and makes you feel right there on the battlefield. Not to mention the fact that Clash mode completely changes the map.

On the surface, the game seems pretty simple. You lay minions on control points, you kill other people, and you win the game by killing the enemy boss. What you don't see are the strategic elements in the game. Some examples being:

  • What limited creature do I summon on this point?

  • Do I spend my focus on upgrading the creature to an adult or keep it so I can use my ultimate?

  • One of the Guardians (Boss) is going on a rampage, do I defend/attack the Guardian or do I attack a control point to put more points into the next round?

Then you add on to the defending, healing, sprinting, dodging, engaging, killing, wounding fast-paced part of the game, it becomes quite immersive. Seriously, this game is fast-paced AF (game time and movement speed). I don't think I've played a game as fast as this. You sprint literally everywhere.

Anyway, back on topic. Motiga isn't a big company, but they seem to be on track with feedback and updates.
Whether this game gets popular in the future, I definitely plan to stick with this game. A game formula that I actually enjoy with amazing art is rare for me.

I mean this game is F2P. Give it a shot and try it out for yourself and mold your own thoughts. What do you have to lose?

Great game! Been playing everyday for 2 months before Early Access and still going.

I still find myself staying up until 3 AM on weekdays playing this game.

Best Tactical CCG out there right now!

Because this game was turn-based with other players, I immediately wrote this game off as being too slow after I completed the tutorial. I was honestly expecting games to go past an hour of back and forth turns.

Decided to give this game another try yesterday after seeing the Halloween event, and I was immediately hooked. I would like to see more advertisement and popularity for this game, but I plan to be playing for a long time.

I'ts been a while since a game has hooked me. Atlas Reactor definitely has. A+

Oh and the humor is fantastic. I find myself smiling at all the little sayings from time to time.

10/10 - A compelling game that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole game. I need to take constant breaks just because I feel like I'm running on adrenaline the whole time. I guess this is what it feels like to be an assassin in real life.

Only problem I have with this game is the consequences involved with killing too many enemies. I feel like the Chaos factor forces you to choose between good and evil and thus, affects your enjoyment of the game. What this game promotes in its advertisements is exactly what you don't want to do in game. Everyone enjoys a good assassination, but not everyone wants to be the bad guy.

Competitive and fun game. The graphics are amazing, and the user interface feels natural.

Best part is it's F2P and has so many sick items to decorate on your character.

Fable is one of the most amazing series out there. Even though I haven't had a chance to play the second one, I feel the third one is one of the top games if you haven't played any Fable game at all. The best thing about 3 is definitely the darkness creatures that you have to fight. Very fun!
