I love board games. I was raised in a household where we played board games nearly every day. This game gives me the opportunity to play a marvelous board game-styled game with mechanics that would be a total pain to recreate in real life but works beautifully in the world it creates.

I have more people in my Steam friends list who play Armello than those who don't; some are old friends I have talked into buying the game, while many others are there because we played a good game together and have played again since. That's the beauty of Armello - it is a great way to spend an hour and fifteen minutes and just relax.

Armello is an extremely complex game, with tons of mechanics and interactions to keep track of, and I've heard more than one newcomer complain about how much they need to know in order to have a chance in online matches. However, putting in a few hours of PvE before starting online matching will give you a really solid handle on the mechanics, since PvE games go a lot faster than PvP and you don't have a turn timer.

Overall, one of my favorite games, and one with an excellent community and an active Dev team that is constantly working and keeping the game updated. If you love board games and you're the kind of person who doesn't mind a little randomness messing with your plans now and then (or if you love it when randomness helps your plans work out) then I wholeheartedly reccomend Armello. Wether you choose to play online or PvE only, you're in for a fun time.
