WHAT THE **** HAPPENED!!!!

6/15/2024: STILL HATE IT

I literally can not play this game because of the constant crashing when loading into areas or missions. I waited a year to finally play it on PC and its a joke of a port. Please for the love of god, fix it because its impossible to enjoy.

I've got to say, I've never been more disappointed with Koei Tecmo in a long time. I feel like I wasted my money on NG: Master Collection. Just a pure garbage cash grab to catch nostalgia. I'm sorry but this is one of the most laziest ports I've ever seen from Koei and in general. I'll just talk mostly about Sigma 2 since that's the one I've never played. I wish I never did. I gave it my time. I beat Master Ninja and honestly I'm just lost for words on how much they cut down. They fixed some problems and added a ton of new ones.

-Annoying Pure Mist
-Cant Upgrade Weapons Freely Anymore With Essence and Because of This, You Always Have A High Amount. Same With
Healing Items
-Mentor Difficulty Is Basically Normal Mode
-Made Enemies Sponges on Master Ninja
-One Grab on Master Ninja Basically Kills You
-Cant Charge Bow
-No Mobs
-Empty Ass World
-Added Pointless Side Story Missions
-Several Weapons Removed
-Test of Valor Is Gone For Whatever Reason
-New Game Plus Is Gone
-Online is Removed............

My thoughts on the extra content? Most of it is meh. Literally the Bads outweigh the goods. But hey, At least the tunnel worm is gone right guys?

The whole game just felt empty compared to NG2. Don't get me wrong, Ninja Gaiden 2 back then had bad apples and even to the point where you can say that's its a disappointment compared to Black. In all honesty, looking at it for what it was, it was a great game to me at least. I loved the gore, blood decals and the mobs. Definitely unfair at Master Ninja, but it felt rewarding once you got through it. The frame rate was an absolute disaster even with the screen tearing. They really pushed the Xbox 360 hardware to its limit and now these performance issues don't even matter anymore because Ninja Gaiden Black and II run at 4K locked 60FPS on Xbox One X and Series X. All through Emulation. Source Code lost or not, I think Koei Tecmo are lying. It seems like they want nothing to do with Itagaki's legacy or they don't wanna pay him royalties. There's just no reason to port these Sigma games anymore unless if you actually enjoy them which isn't a problem. Maybe in the future Black and II will be playable through Xenia I hope. But anyways, unless Itagaki comes back by some miracle, I barely have any hope for Ninja Gaiden 4.

Its OK I guess

*Sign* This game had so much potential. Even though its slightly simplified compared to previous games, Its fun none the less. But honestly the greedy overpriced DLC practices that TN constantly pushed really ruined this game. You'll find people in lobbies depending on what time you play or if somebody streams it. Ranked is completely dead. It'll take you at least maybe 5 to 10 minutes to find someone and once you do, they'll either keep declining you to troll or one and done if the set doesn't favor them. The online in general is a complete joke. The training mode and tutorial mode are super b however. And to top that off, free frame data. In all seriousness, Team Ninja honestly drop the huge ball on their redemption arc and completely lied about ever taking this game serious. I don't know who to really blame here honestly? Team Ninja or Koei Tecmo? Either way their needs to be some serious changes. DOA in general has so much depth as a competitive fighting game and all they cared about is selling you $80 season passes and charging you for hair colors (Only on PS4) like huh? So what if its only cosmetics and you don't have to buy it. Its literally beyond anti consumer to charge that much for outfits and literally it hurts DOA's rep even more in the gaming industry and especially in the FGC. DOA as a whole in this current state is in a super bad place right now and honestly I hope the best for TN. If they truly care about the franchise and want it to grow, they need to make better marketing decisions. They need to change PERIOD!
