I like the game - but this DLC is absolutely pointless

Good game.
Could use some tweaking, but it has a lot going for it.

- Customisation - Character Appearance , outfits , weapons
- Abilities - some are great , some need tweaking to be more useful
- Environment - very nice , peaceful , pretty , kind of sad at times - BIG map
- Quests , there are lots

There's New game+ which is also nice
You have a 'Mama and Papa' in the game - but they completely removed female characters otherwise.
This may or may not be a big deal for you - you're forced to play as a Male.

I'm not here to give a comprehensive review, just to say much of the negativity is misplaced.
The narrator - In English , I personally didn't like.
HOWEVER I swapped him to the Japanese Narrator and find it much better.

They use Chinese instruments in music, which lends to the Kung Fu themes of the game - there's Katanas and Wide straw hats (known as amigasa) so ...
Having a Japanese narrator for me is more thematically appropriate than some English fairytale style narrator.

A true game - made by people who understand that games are meant to be 'Fun'
Loads of things to do , lots of laughs in Single player and Co-op

Has a good 'end game' grind
Nothing's overly tedious

Go create, build, have fun
Very refreshing - so happy I bought it and looking forward to more.

I've noticed bad reviews and I've reviewed those reviews.

- Co-op , I've played 20 hours in Multiplayer , it's all worked near flawlessly through Steam.
I can only surmise that these people have poor systems, poor internet - are playing with people in different regions etc.

- Some people don't like the Wackiness of "Riding a hoverboard through an Aztec ruin while dressed like a medieval peasant" ... fair , you can look however you want to - this game connects to Vroid Hub and you can have custom characters.

- The 'building' is absolutely the least stressful in almost any game I've ever played, its so easy to make a nice looking building.
Not the most intricate, but it's simple and clean.

- I saw some ♥♥♥♥♥ say to go play Genshin as it's a 'similar game'
NO IT IS NOT. X'D

Trust me , Don't trust these people , the game is worth the money... make your own judgement.

P.s 49 hours at the time of writing , still have loads to do - and I'm probably addicted.

No other game has been getting so many BIG gameplay changing updates like this has - in similar timeframes.

Credit where it's due.

Outstanding game
it does things which no other game does - characters and story are compelling so far.
There is LOTS to do around the City , going around playing Cop is very fun.

I tend to walk everywhere because It's just such a good environment to experience.

If you use dynamic resolution and low/medium settings , even an RX580 can run this game at 40-60fps (1080p)
I have a 1080 and get the same with 1440p - with level of detail being on Ultra.

There are some bugs you might encounter , I've experienced minor bugs and that was only during character creation.

Worth the FULL £50 , Enjoy

The Ancients (Isu) , the Gods - have always been used fairly sparingly in AC games.
This DLC lets you meet and interact with them more than ever before.

For this reason alone, it's worth.
I've only been to 1 of 3 new areas so far , and it's beautiful.
If you like AC , then get this.

It does go on Sale, so there's that.

I initially bought and refunded this game...
I found it to be unnecessarily clunky, in terms of UI and controls.

WELL ... I needed a new space game , and after looking everywhere, this was my only option.
So I rebought it and forced myself to play it until it clicked with me.

I would give this a middle ground recommendation...
It has lots of redeeming features , but you do have to overcome how 'fiddly' the game is.

The experience of owning a Carrier ship, going into its hangar bay and seeing 20+ fighters all lined up ready to go is awesome.
The clinks and clanks of your gattling guns hitting enemy metal is very satisfying.

The fact that turrets work independently - having a huge array of guns firing off in different directions looks very cool.

I played through one of the few Tutorial before I refunded the first time which took 40minutes , and it wasn't a pleasant experience, but, the game really opens up eventually, and I feel like not recommending it isn't fair.

Currently , I'm loving the game , safe to say I'm addicted... but It didn't grab me initially.
Go watch a load of gameplay before deciding.

Gotto say , I bought this game early in its development and I had very low hopes - half expected it to be abandoned.

However, the game is now a very clean, and a smooth experience overall.
I'm playing solo, and I'm enjoying the chilled out grind for better stuff - servers are available and very well populated, which I was happy to see, and I'll join a server after my Single player romp.

More spawn points for creatures would be good (outside of designated areas), if you really want to find enemies , they're pretty much all marked on the map as Enemy camps or Caves and there are a lot of those.
The south part of the map is almost devoid of creatures outside of the camps and caves.
But enemy spawn rates at the camps are fairly frequent , so the game is tailored to that kind of farming.

I can safely say I'm happy with my purchase at this point, and the Devs are doing a great job!

Worth the price - if you like Magic and you like building -

The Dev has done amazing work so far, this really is a labour of love.

One of the best space games on Steam.

The game is honestly LOTS of fun
End game is essentially looking for Orcs to recruit and taking on other peoples Forts (through online)

Looks beautiful, especially with Reshade

There's 'Fight pits' to pit your Orcs against others, including other peoples - which will gain your and your orc rewards.

The combat is nice - which helps because there's a lot of it.
There are skills, then each skill usually has 3 add on perks which you select from.
Lots of different weapon and armour effects

The game is Endless - so you'll never reach a point where you can't play, you can endlessly grind for orcs, defend your regions and attack other peoples forts.
For £11.54 on sale... its a steal
