Like many other "Hentai" games on steam, this is merely a sliding puzzle generator with "borrowed" ecchi artwork. Completing a puzzle lets you draw on and poke it with elastic physics.

Its biggest appeal is for +80 achievements, completable in seconds by pressing F to auto-solve every puzzle. Add 20 more images to instantly unlock the rest on restart. Less than 5 minutes to 100%.

But wait--it's profile limited, it doesn't add to your profile or game count. So why buy it?
Likely to be removed if any of the Pixiv artists submit a complaint.

Fourth of the titular Greek Mythos time management series, 12 Labours IV returns with everything the previous installment did, save for some cosmetic variations on the same core mechanics. Fans of the genre will enjoy more content, but some may grow weary of its increasingly cut and paste design.

Pros
+ Beautiful artwork
+ More variety of background music
+ Difficulty selection, developer score challenge
+ Jigsaw Puzzle collectibles which unlock an additional 6 stages
+ Multiple routes for strategic planning and good AI pathing
+ Stuck? Check guides for each level to show you intended solutions and hidden objects
+ Good length for its low price; 56 stages

♥♥♥♥
- Unlike the original, no minigames to be found besides the Jigsaws. Boss stages haven't returned.
- Repeated copyright free music that has appeared in every game so far
- The story is even more nonsensical than the last; feels forced for the sake of making another game.
- Silly anachronisms like fire hydrants & submarines in ancient Greece?

Herc IV is a well made casual game, make no mistake. But I found myself rushing to complete it as i became overwhelmed by deja vu from prior installments. The only actual addition to this episode was hidden objects, yet their score-centric purpose makes them easily skippable and only account for a few stages in total. I really miss the minigames from the original that accentuated the world segments... maybe bosses will return someday? One can only hope.

Achievement Hunters: Simple to 100%, with two potential hangups. First, developer times require the highest difficulty and leave little room for error. Luckily there are level guides to show you the sequence, and with practice you can cut corners to shave seconds and come out ahead. Don't forget the nowhere-explained bonus points from clicking flying birds, that just might put you over the edge for the win. Earlier stages are some of the easiest.

Second, anti-theft is best tackled in 2.8, with the caveat that you don't build out unnecessary resource generators that thieves would be able to reach. Ignore half the stage and slowly build the exit bridge. You'll go way over the gold time limit but you'll complete the challenge.

Happy hunting.

Cubicity is a sliding block puzzle in a very cute package, featuring 95 levels, unlockable skins, and three tools to make stages easier. Originally a mobile game, this PC version has been streamlined and all cash shop currency removed. Since steam forces a rating, voting up since the game is bug-free and polished in appearance, but this review is more neutral.

Now to the specifics:

Pros
+ Beautiful design
+ Nice music
+ Decent challenge (without tools)
+ 95 Stages with more in development
+ Great for all ages

♥♥♥♥
- Repetitive; The few mechanics introduced across stages do little to add variety
- Tools remove any real challenge, but are up to the player to decide to use
- All block animals move the same, a lost opportunity for more engaging design
- World map is one long screen that requires a lot of dragging atm
- Other than achievements, there's little reason to try for perfect level scores

Cubicity is certainly pleasing on the eyes, has simple touch controls, and provides a challenge if you want it to. But below the surface, it's a real shame that the late stages feel barely any different from the first. There are so many opportunities here to add complexity, and fun, to the game. For example, why not give the animals different behaviors? Birds could fly over gaps. Aquatic animals could swim through water. Other animals could leap or scale vertical heights. What about having one animal that can stack or carry another?

More stages are in development so perhaps new mechanics will breathe life into its average design. As it stands, i'd recommend it on sale, or to simply wait to see what future updates hold.

Achievement Hunters: Level unlocks and star count achievements. For the 100x grind, use the tutorial stages of each tool, since unlimited. Fill all available squares with said tool, then reset when you run out of space. An easy 100%.

Intergalactic Bubbles is a 3D take on classic Bust-A-Move type puzzle games, and while it visuals leave much to be desired, it has surprisingly solid gameplay. But unless you're a hardcore enthusiast, you'll struggle to find much value in 250 stages of monotony.

Pros
+ 3D physics give an extra layer of strategy, such as:
++ Hooking bubbles by shooting their edge to chain upward
++ Creating swinging chains that allow for cascade effects
+ Skill tree grants multiple tiers of powerups. Points can be reallocated any time
+ Skill points come from completing levels below par, so there's a lot to replay once you unlock better skills
+ 250 stages amount to a dozen hours of gameplay

♥♥♥♥
- Bugs exist, but are random. Ex: Collision detection errors, not setting off chains
- May be difficult for colorblind, but see discussion forum for user-made patch
- Too many stages, because it's basically all one stage that gets increasingly longer.
- Randomized stage contents can make the stage too easy or too hard. You can exploit resetting stages to your liking.
- Can't fully complete the skill tree, not enough points (but you don't really need to)
- One music track for the entire game
- Bland graphics

In short, if you're an arcade lover, this title may be good bang for your buck. For others, not so much.

Achievement Hunters: Several tips:
1. Wild + Bomb skill as soon as possible, but max energy upgrade required to use it. Strategic shots allow you to cut a lot of corners, and it's worth practicing ricochet off side walls. I didn't find much value in rocket.
2. You don't have to clear every bubble. If your shield is upgraded, you can let the last few hit it and you won't lose the stage.
3. Clear as many stages as possible before perfecting them. Upgrades are virtually mandatory to score below par
4. Since the balls are randomly set, keep resetting if you don't have a good setup or have no color matches from the beginning. Skew the odds in your favor.

Roughly 15+ hours to 100%. Good luck.

Although classified Hidden Object, in reality The Last Dream is a smattering of many different puzzles and plays more like the classic 90's adventure games in first person. Its story is muddied by some sloppy localization, but is essentially a surreal journey through a couple's dreams. An easy recommendation for casual puzzle and HOG fans.

Pros
+ Variety of puzzles keeps the journey from going stale
+ The Hidden Object portions add inventory item use, still easy but a nice touch
+ Full motion cutscenes and animations
+ Beautiful artworks
+ Hint system is optional
+ No real fear of pixel hunts, interactive objects have fairly large hotspots
+ Features an epilogue with two full sets of stages

♥♥♥♥
- Messy translation causes confusion. Example: Interacting with a bike handle, you're told "I can't unscrew this," yet screwdriver doesn't work. You're supposed to use a wrench. It's not always clear what you need to do.
- Choppy video and animations. I can't tell if this was a system issue, or intended.
- Little reason to replay besides missed achievements

If you've played Hidden Object games, you'll know what to expect here. Last Dream does a good job of keeping the formula interesting by varying the puzzle contents and breaking up each scene with videos. It is structured as a fragmented object game, because you can't backtrack, and your exploration is limited to about three to five screens per location. If you can look past some funny localization issues, it's still an enjoyable journey.

Achievement Hunters: Collectibles, no hints, watch all movies, complete all puzzles. Very self explanatory. Unguided is ~3 hours to 100%.

If you aren't familiar with Maciej Targoni, then you're missing out on some fine puzzlers. PUSH is, by far, one of the best in the minimalist, self-discovery genre. Rotate, slide, and twist a number of odd 3D constructs to search for--and push in--every button in sight. Sounds easy? Try it and see...

Pros
+ Great artistic direction and visual perceptual puzzles
+ Intuitive interaction, touchscreen optimized
+ Ambient background sounds don't get in the way
+ Each mechanic is introduced in a simple way before difficulty ramps up
+ Low price

♥♥♥♥
- One hour long
- To me, the final stage loses everything that made the game great. It comes out of nowhere.
- The double arrow mechanic on checkered squares specifically needed a clearer introduction

Mathematicians will love the game's geometric emphasis, as it puts your 3D visualization skills to the test. Button paths must be interconnected to activate, and often loop around different meridians of the various floating shapes. I was thoroughly impressed by the layered design of many of the later puzzles which look simple in size but belie their complexity. Add on top of this all the nuanced behaviors of shapes, numbers, arrows, checkerboards, and portals and you have your work cut out for you. I still can't believe the game was only about an hour because of how well it captures your concentration, it certainly felt longer. Not that I'm complaining: it comes at an amazing budget price.

Whether casual fan or hardcore enthusiast, this is one puzzle game all should own.

Achievement Hunters: Complete the final stage for 100%

Answer Knot is a short, story-driven experience that echoes radio dramas of the past. While I can't mention which ones, because it would absolutely spoil the plot, suffice to say this is a familiar story in a new package. Good voice acting, decent graphics, and simple tasks make this a quick coffee break game.

Pros
+ Compelling narrative
+ Emotional delivery
+ Detailed environment
+ Well executed sound design and ambiance
+ Free

♥♥♥♥
- No introduction to controls, and some items can't be interacted with until after a certain call.
- Constant lens flare
- Minor graphical mistakes (ie, stairs lead into the ceiling)
- Lack of tangible connection to player character dull the climax
- 30 minutes or less in length

It appears to be the first effort of a new developer, so there are understandably a few rough edges, but beyond these is an engaging small tale. This review was written from an early build, so some issues above may be addressed in coming updates.

Achievement Hunters: Completion achievements, the others are self-explanatory by their description (stand still 3min, replay message 3x, etc). Easy 100% and possible to perfect in one run.

Peggle with fruit, ultra neon surreal wallpapers, and Eurobeats. The game works, but it doesn't try anything special. Since steam forces a rating, I choose yes because of no major bugs, and is satisfactory compared to many other knockoffs already out there. In reality, though, this review is neutral.

Pros
+ All the powerups are useful and can make a difference
+ Built in path prediction, up until the last shot
+ Shot power is controllable
+ If you're a fan of electronic music, a good number of tracks
+ 45 Stages will last more than an hour of play

♥♥♥♥
- No speed toggle. Rebounds slow the ball considerably, so prepare to wait. And wait.
- Oversaturated red backgrounds make it hard to see the targets in few stages
- Repeatable bug: if apple is too close to side rail, and your puck lacks momentum, it gets jammed and you are forced to reset the stage.
- Easter Egg is too well hidden, there are no in game hints. Prepare to rage
- Steam limited at the time of this review means that it doesn't add to profile counts.

Achievement Hunters: Complete each stage for an achievement, and get the gold score for those achievements. It seems the gold score is around 10k, so there is one basic strategy. First try for 5k, but leave an apple someplace that you can shoot to have your puck fall center of the stage (verify with path prediction earlier on). This grants another 5k bonus. Sometimes strawberries give +2500 points, so you can reset stages until you get the point bonus and then complete it.

As for the Easter Egg, good luck. Developer dropped a hint in the forums. Have fun finding it...

Probably one of the best examples of minimal game design, Hook will keep you occupied for 50 puzzles until you reach its end. A great one for puzzle lovers or people in general who enjoy quick brain teasers on the go.

Pros
+ Truly simple design, easy to grasp
+ Soft ambient sounds create a very relaxing experience
+ Introduces mechanics sequentially
+ Suitable for all ages

♥♥♥♥
- Can be completed in 30 minutes
- Lacks a menu or notification to press Esc to exit
- Not very difficult. Although later stages are complex, the entire concept is based on order, like a game of pick-up-sticks.
- Not much to replay

Considering its price, this is decent value for a moment of zen.

Achievement Hunters: Complete the game to unlock its sole achievement.

Ever try a Sudoku puzzle and think, "Gee, why can't I do this with fruit?" Well now you can! Replace those pesky numbers with zoomed in images of produce, and you've got Fruit Sudoku🍉!

Pros
+ It's sudoku
+ It's got fruit
+ Classical music

♥♥♥♥
- It's the same puzzle randomized
- No customization.
- No challenge. Higher difficulty is less pre-filled cells
- It's over in 5 minutes
- It's 150 megs for what should be less than 15

Getting bored of your default fruits? Not to worry - for the same price as the base game you can buy 10 separate DLCs with--you guessed it--different images of fruit!

Pure shovelware.

Achievement Hunters: Complete 5 puzzles for 100%.
