it's alright

Disclaimer: I played until day 15 but I refunded the game.

First of all, this game is not *bad*, it's just lacking some things.

Mainly new and interesting mechanics to discover as you progress.
I played for a good hour or so and the only new thing was the plant department (don't ask questions), and the little red sheet. Which if you are trying to follow the rules you won't get to explore.
Intrinsically, you will be doing the same over and over with no little sense of urgency or anything.
If we compare it to a big competitor (although I hate comparisons):
-'Papers, Please' gives you a clear sense of purpose; you have to feed a family.
-It adds new mechanics and and increased complexity as you progress
-Interesting stories (I wasn't a fun of trying to imagine what will appear on the phone next day if I killed someone)


As a kafkian story it would have been great, sadly I didn't feel engaged to finish the whole thing.
I doubt the developers can change anything at this point, but if the game had a reboot with new interesting things I would definitely buy it again :)

It's very fun with friends.
