This is a decent port, but yes its a port. Essentially it is a score attack match 3 like rpg with leveling and stats elements. Kind of like Puzzle Quest except you don't save your stats, once you die, how far you progressed gets tallied into a score along with your stats and what items you had. You earn Stars to unlock new characters and locations. The game gets progressively harder, and you have to be quick with your matches. Lots of references to other games.

First time i died i got eatten by a ghost chick, 10/10.

Interesting little game if you enjoy mazes. Fun for a few minutes in between games or if you just want a quick run. There is a nice progressive difficuly with the mazes, reminds me of a more modern version of Chip's Challenge back on older computers. It combines Speed Running with quick thinking, memory and making sure you have necessary items. Instead of Keys the levels have different items such as boats to travel across water, mushrooms and different things related to the type of enviornment Fatty happens to be challenging.

Yes, you play as a Fat guy stuck in a maze. 10/10.

As for price, get it on sale. Only paid about $5 for this.

Devs do not listen. AI Cheats, difficulty is way to high. Found myself doing the same race over and over again. The graphics and controls are supurb, but that is pointless when you can hardly win. Most players aren't getting much past tier 2.

This is an example of a game that could be very good, but because devs choose not to listen (just look at the forums), its a flop. All this game has going for it right now is pretty visuals. If the devs fix things my opinion may change, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Save your money.

Fun little game, not a bad price. If you like games with daily challenges, games that challenge you to improve upon yourself within the limits of said game, and the ability to make your own tracks. This is potentially for you.

First impressions i was rather surprised, you can change from top down view to traditional follow the car view. Track builder is weak, and could use some improvement. Lots of different car choices, and a decent amount of coins to start you off. Each car has a sub-category that has different mods, and attributes. Some cars are very easy to get the hang of while others will throw you into the wall until you get the handling down just right.

If your taking a break from another game, and you just want a quick arcade game to play for a few minutes, this is very good at being that. Don't expect great graphics, and the driving controls could use some work. On the plus side, i had fun with this and found it worth the price tag. If you want a budget game that has no microtransactions, and online play. This could also be for you. Basically you race ghosts of other players, you can keep challenging them over and over again while new ones appear. This is deffinitly a one more run game.

Overall, it's decent. Don't go in expecting much and you will be fine.

Some updates, been playing this thing a while now. Sam the admin is actively working to improve the game, and is listening to our suggestions. I am rather surprised at how hooked on this game i am, and always look forward to taking on the next track of the day. It is incredibly challenging to get a top time, and although I'm all over the leaderboards i still need some work.

Advice for newbies:
For new players, concentrate on one car and get the top varient you can afford. The Pike, and Turin in my opinion are the most challenging to master especially on tight tracks. Start with the Symphony or Marley if your after a top time. The daily track changes around 6:30pm EST, and most people post crazy times by about 2 hours before the track of the day changes. Don't be shocked if someone crushes your time with a better varient or a crazy driving line. It can be daunting but each track takes a lot of practice before you can find your top average times. Good luck and remember to have fun, that is what's important.

Fun game, lots of potential to be exceptionally good. Wait for a patch.

This game is basically a hard version of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night meets Mario. It is a ton of fun if you can get past the massive amount of bugs. Have some patience and keep trying, you will find its worth putting up with some of them. There are save points everywhere so save often and you should be fine. To clarify, you don't actually level up, but everytime you beat a boss you get a stats increase. You can only access your menu at the save points, and this game could do with some sort of map.

You -MAY- have to reinstall the game like i did on the first go, but that should fix the problem. This game seems to be stuck in Windowed mode (edit you can change the setting in options), so if that bothers you i would pass on this for now.

Running Windows 8.1 and an Nvidea 745M graphics card if that helps anyone else having difficulty getting this to work.

Although i don't have as much playtime on this as some others, there is a lot to be said about the first impression of the game.

Pros:
Maps are richly detailed, i actually had to turn down settings so it wouldn't lag as much.
Cars are nicely detailed, drivers side view allows you to look from side to side just like in real life.
Good number of players around
Racing is fun, although this has its own mechanics and an entirely arcade feel. It essentially feels like an early NFS title in how it handles. Think Underground 2 or Hot Pursuit 2.

Cons:
Glitchy! Sometimes you can ram a car hard, and the game will act like it was just a scratch, other times you will tap a car on the side lightly, and crash as if you rammed them. Speed of hit does not seem to matter.
Microtransactions : YES, this does have microtransactions, although i do not see the need to buy cash unless you want to progress faster. It isn't quite as bad as i have seen in many games with a pay2win aspect.
Not worth the base value. I waited for this to go on sale, do not buy this at full price. I don't think this is worth $60 let alone $85 for the Gold.
Uplay: You must log in via Ubisoft's Uplay platform seperatly or make an account with them.
Hackers and Griefers: Don't bother with the leaderboards.
Handling: Normal racing mechanics do not seem to apply in this game.

If you can get past the cons, there is some fun to be had in exploring and doing missions. Personally, i enjoy what i have played so far. Get it on sale.

This is an excellent homage to the first Stick RPG, back on Xgen Studios website back in the day. It is a great time killer, you can leave it open while you do other tasks. Some parts of the game are time-management, while others are action combat. You can choose to be either good or evil, and both have fun perks including weapons for mastery. You can own a business, become head of every job, etc. The game is good if you liked flash games back in the day. Combat is fun, purely action based and can be challenging at times. There are even built in cheats if you just want to mess around. A true sequel.

I am well into the 2nd game, and it feels much more polished then the first one. This is my 2nd play through of the game, i had the original retail copy back in the day. The story is about a decade or so after the events of the first one, while you do not need to play the first one, i do recommend it to tie up loose ends. This is a good port, so it should work well. It does ask you to install Microsoft C++ Redistribute, but you can skip that if you have a later version from other games.

Remember to right click objects, you may need to trigger some scenes first and then come back to said object for Darren to pick it up. Occasionally i have had to click things two to three times to get it in my inventory.

I do recommend following or referring to a guide on your first playthrough.

This is a nice, spooky tale and great if you like games such as The Lost Crown, Darkfall, Myst, etc.

So far, the game is fun. I'm having more fun in this then i did in Borderlands 2 with butt-slams and low gravity. I am holding off on DLC until they release more, this was a gift from a friend of mine. As for price, i would wait until this is on sale. The DLC currently does not seem to be worth the cost as it stands. If you are thinking about this game, play BL2 until more content is released.

That said, while i personally enjoy this game, don't put out more then $25 for it. It feels more like a giant add on to BL2.

This is a fantastic game, one that i have purchased multiple times. If you like story driven point-and-clicks, this game is for you. I had to refer to the walkthrough on multiple occassions, to find things that i missed or "duh that was right there" moments.

The game has a unique atmosphere that makes you want to finish it. Keep a notepad handy, you do backtrack to certain locations frequently. The author has been working on the sequel for a while now, and i am looking forward to it. If you like games such as Black Mirror, Dark Fall, Myst, etc. Give this a shot. $10 is a worthy price.
