Bought the game and let it idle for 2 hours so I could get the steam emotes. Honestly couldn't tell you a thing about the game, but the emotes were 100% worth the $2, would recommend.

If you want to get this game to play on a private server with some friends, go ahead, that's how I found enjoyment in the game and it's likely how I will continue to play the game.

If you want to take part in the PVP on official servers, don't. I could complain about how it's essentially like a full loot PVP mmo where it's mostly impossible to get your footing when other players outgear you 10:1, but I don't even need to. There is a well documented case (the incident was streamed by several people) of a group setting up a raid on a tribe that had connections to Snail Games. During the attempted raid, the specific server was taken down and rolled back ~10 times, and when that didn't deter the raiders, ~90 players were banned. I don't need to explain how this was a massive abuse of power. There's also the fact that official servers are set to be taken down in August 2023, and yet there is no notice on the store page, which I find deceitful.

The whole "hardcore pvp" draw to this game is gone. It's still got the "dinosaur game with friends" going for it, which is totally enough for some people (me), but really nothing else.

If you asked me last week, I'd be recommending this, and there might be times in the future where I still use the software, but as it stands the latest Steam update just nullified my need for this. Keep in mind, I personally was using it with a PS5 pro controller pretty much solely to map the back buttons. The application has some other features, but this is my review and I didn't have need of them.

Pros: Very simple and easy to understand, remapping buttons was easy, there were a number of options for stick and button sensitivity options, including haptic trigger settings, which if I ever want to use in the future will 100% bring me back to using this.

Cons: The software can be somewhat laggy, I believe it is trying to minimize the resources it uses as to not lag games, which I appreciate, but I have a beefy PC, I'd rather lose 2 fps and have the application respond when I click on it to change something. My only other complaint is likely due to the app clashing with steam's newest update, since I've only had it recently, but the software would temporarily change my binds and at one point refused to even read that I had the controller plugged in if I was trying to emulate a Dual Shock 4. It's not fun to have your roll button sometimes turn into the jump button in the middle of playing Elden Ring.

TL;DR: The program has some nice features and was incredibly useful, but Steam now natively supports the main reason I got it, making it not worth the sometimes major issues the program had.
