ATTENTION ALL HELLDIVERS

The Automatons have taken over Sony Headquarters, as a result they have recently made a decision to actively reduce our numbers by requiring "linking" (Sending Military Secrets) with their "Playstation Network" (Intel Collection Network) in order for our "Safety and Security" (Un-Democratic) and making it mandatory (Un-Liberty Like) by May 6th, 2024, Super Earth Time.

The Ministry of Truth has requested that this un-democratic behaviour CEASE immediately and has declared it a threat to Managed Democracy.

All Helldivers must put an end to this tyranny.

TL;DR: Story Great, Horrible Collectathon game. Play for the story not fot the 100%

Got this game from humblebundle last year.

Played it until i was left with 3 chapters. The game kept crashing. I was done.

Last week, Installed it because i thought "why not 100% it, I had good memories". So I did Went through the achievements and saw "play on classic difficulty" So I did.

This Game can be resumed in a sentence. Great Story, Horrible Free Roam. Because the free roam is outside the story, you will miss so many collectibles, and to get it back you might likely waste 4-5h on them alone.

But the story? Oh boy the story is good, each character is amazing, the game surprised me by the end because it made me think on one thing and bamn, a suckerpunch of plot twist at the end.

The way they tell the story is amazing, showing off Tommy tired/afraid of something and you dont know who. every now and then you would have a cutscene you talking with the inspector which, ngl, was my second favorite moments of the game. The first being the last chapter and the final cutscene.

Anyway, Gameplay during the story is amazing, even in "Classic" difficulty i had a nice time and it wasn't

Too hard, just the right spot since one headshot was instakill because realism. So I just had to be carefull, still, there was 3 missions where it got Hard but nothing but my own fault for getting lazy.

With the game completed and all story related achievements done. Time to look for extra stuff. Collectibles. I had around 30-35% of the collection done before setting a foot in free ride.

But funfact, the collection doesn't count the mystery foxes because for some reason tommy has to collect 50, of them. 50!! It took me 2hours from launching the game until the 50th fox was collected. And those didnt count for the collection achivement.

Ok, i move on but after the 2nd entry on the collection i noticed something. the game is bland as hell, literally. outside the city there's nothing. I can count on one hand how many buildings aint abandoned in the game. and one of them you visit during the story!

Just to show how bad it is, im a sucker for lakes in videogames, i noticed my next fox to collect was right in the lake, in the tiny port it had. so i went imagining how good looking it would be but.. ngl, was the country side had shown me so far and I had the "this game story is great therefore its a great game" thought, i ignored the lack of detail in the countryside. and oh boy. the visual bugs on a certain part of the country side, the map "buildings squares" not being in the buildings. by this i mean if I was right in the wall in a building somewhere in the countryside, the map would tell me im 1/2meters of the building off. I mean... Wtf? first time i see this happening ngl.

Anyway, past the collection phase, i head straight to the cars achivements which aint that bad except the its just annoying bc you cant realistic keep track of them because the game doesn't give you a notice if you had this car already or not except in the phone booth missions.

After the story I thought I will complete all achievements and get the triology and do the same. After the 100%? I'll won't get the trilogy. The game could've been a perfect 10/10 game because the story deserves it and in each chapter had one or 2 collectibles and bamn. Perfect game imo. Just like The last of us. Not so many things to collect and a great story to keep you invested and not making you dread replaying the chapters you didn't catch everything.

TL;DR: Only start playing after the shaders finish!

After 1h or something of shaders doing their thing and crashing. once I hit the 20% mark it didnt crash anymore and went smoothly until it finished and got faster the closer it get.

With 1h give or take of gameplay. I can say the game after shaders isnt as bad but sometimes I loose 20 fps when entering a cutscene when the game transitions into one without the blackscreen.

I'll give my full review once I 100% the game.

One of the best simracing games, nothing much to say. If you want to play semi-serious you must search for third party leagues.

Played the game with Ray-Tracing, M+KB and all my hours went towards to get all achivements. Also this was a replay for me, I did every achievement on ps4 as well. Take that in mind!

Update:It took me about 20h of gameplay to get all achivements but I was doing something wrong for my last one. You could have at least 18h gameplay if you wanna do everything here,

Played this game completly blind except keanu reaves was on it and he was a big character in this game that said "wake up samurai, we have a city to burn"
If you seen that clip from the E3, well, it doesn't exist in the game, so don't worry if you think you've been spoiled with that.

I Made this review after finish the story and coming back to the open world with basically 24h of gameplay. I also played with raytracing on low.

This one was hard because gunplay it feels great but driving vehicles is so hard and clunky. As someone who hates using bikes on open worlds, I had to use one because I would crash less.

I've received this game from my humble bundle subscription so I kinda received this for free.

It's a great game with a nice story to finish in a day or two but it has extra gamemodes to fill the void after the main story.

My Ingame time is for the story only with dying a few times like a normal player. Howlongtobeat says the average player finishes the story in 6h49m. But completing everything can take you from 12h39m up to 18h43m.

Because it's kinda short I dont think it's worth the price unless it's on sale even though I gave it a 8 imho.

Some opinions: Amazing game and a great sequel to follow up the already amazing first game.
Even though I love this game the biggest flaw of it it's the speed. The speed makes it hard to see the animations. Sometimes when using my favorite weapons I play slower just to see the animations which is kinda annoying since the game imo is better if you play fast enough that you have to "smash" the keys.

Loved every single second of it up until now. Will most likely get all achievements in my spare time. Until then, this is my final and only normal review.
