great game, would buy again

GOTY 2022 hands down, no questions asked. Story is amazing, game looks pretty and runs well. I have a 1060 can still run this game with stable frames.

Pros:
Assault Rifle is better here than in other Halo games
A lot of variety with weapons and vehicles
Looks pretty

Cons:
Battle pass progression is crap, even with the hot fix for quicker progression
Can't select the game modes you want to play, which is typically standard (beta or not) in all games
Random crashes - hopping off vehicles crashes on the odd occasion and re-spawning causes crashes on the odd occasion
Ranked placement seems off, had mates lose 2 - 4 of their placement matches and got platinum, I won 7 and got gold (and top fragged in all my matches)
Tanks and flying vehicles don't spawn all to often in BTB (Big Team Battles) which is odd considering its a big map. Compare this to other halo games where tanks and flying vehicles spawn quite regularly, it is kind of disappointing

This is really annoying, I've enjoyed the gameplay so far but would I recommend it... No, wait a couple patches or until its out of beta and it will be worth your time. But considering it is a free game if you want to see for yourself if it's bad or good go right ahead, you'll either prove me wrong or prove me right :D

Its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ great game, it has it's issues, but I highly recommend. - 2020 me at 837 hours.

I do not recommend this game, what so ever, balancing is off, devs have no idea how to address bugs + no status on current issues with the DDoS attacks. And to think the devs say the game is e-sports ready... what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke.

It's an asymmetrical horror game 1 killer vs 4 survivors, and yet the game fails to give killers the control of the game, it is completely based around survivors and the only way a killer will get somewhere is if the survivors make a mistake. This shouldn't be the case obviously, as its 1 v 4...

I have spent a lot of time player survivor (more than killer) and each game I play as survivor I just feel bad for killers, out of my 30 games recently, I have NOT lost one game, each game I have either 1 pipped or 2 pipped. And for those of you who see escaping as winning for some reason (and not the amount of points you get at the end of the game), I escaped 23 of the 30 games, the 7 games I died in still let progress through the ranks. That brings me to my next topic...

The ranking system is still meh, red ranks still mean nothing. The only reason why I even try to get to red ranks is for bp (blood points), otherwise I let the hidden mmr system do it's job as best it can

The only positive I can give it, it's fun to play with mates. But even with this positive there is a negative, the game isn't based around voice comms, there isn't voice comms in game. So if a lobby of survive with friends (who are most likely on discord or some other voice comm service) encounter a killer, you can bet your top dollar they will win.

If you and some mates want a game to have fun in, sure get it when its on special. If you're a solo player looking at this thinking the killers could be fun or solo queuing as survivor could be fun, sorry to tell you but nope. The community will throw you out quickly...

Hopefully this new killer will bring something to the table, and give killers the upper hand that I've been waiting for.
