Felt obligated to give a review after hearing this game will have EOS by January of next year.

Bought this game at 5$, and while I greatly enjoyed it, I think the reception to this game would've been a lot better if the initial price was around that price point. I know Warner Bros. and Zaslav wouldn't have been happy with it. But for what I paid for, I think I got an insane bargain.

Movement and combat is fun. Gameplay design is repetitive, but that's actually a positive for instead of a negative. Helps to just play something that isn't inherently stressful after a long day's work. Story is decent, it got one of my friends to get into DC for the first time.

Hope everyone at Rocksteady is doing well despite how horribly this game was received.

Developer is unhinged and removing base mechanics for the game, not only to sell as DLC, but to fuel his delusions and rants on the Steam forums.
Buyer beware, this game is 100% abandonware on Steam. DO NOT BUY!

This remake was such a disappointment.
From the fact that the soundtrack is different (you can mod the original soundtrack back in), to the fact that the enemies feels more like bullet sponges than actual enemies.

They got almost everything about the game wrong. I'm surprised you can sell this for this price considering how short it is. And how much less replayable this game is to the original.
The bosses are a joke. I have more trouble with the instahit zombies on Arcade Difficulties than I do the actul bosses. The only time I got hit was because I let them.

They did The Magician so dirty. Not only replacing his theme with a god awful recreation, but also nerfing his speed and making his ultimate attack a basic attack. That's not to mention how much easier this game is since you have all of your weapons in your arsenal once you've unlocked them.

I have to give props for the graphics and gunplay though, that felt solid. And the fact you added in cheat codes is a nice touch, wish we still had those for most games.

But overall, unless you can get this game for EXTREMELY CHEAP. Don't buy it, stay away. The original is still much better.

Although incredibly rough around the edges, and requires a lot more polish. Evil Genius 2 has been a pretty fun time sink for me. Just something mindless to keep me busy if I haven't got much to do.
It is pretty satisfying to create a lair that is functional but evil.

If it's on sale, I recommend getting it.

I grew up with the Henry Stickmin series of games, and every single time I would always love and laugh along with the adventures Henry puts himself in.I remembered being really impressed with Fleeing the Complex and Infiltrating the Airship, but Completing the Mission is another thing entirely! There is just.. So much combinations you can do, so many endings to explore, so many BIOS TO COLLECT!This game just reignited that love for Henry Stickmin again. And I am glad others are finding love and enjoyment in it as well now that it has become, well, sort of a meme.
