This game is great if you like classic shooters, specifically Doom 3. A lot of shooters are just not fun for me anymore and the ability to play something that I enjoyed many years ago in a modern form is really great. I'm most of the way through episode 1 (on E1M6) and I really like it so far.

Areas for improvement
- Would be nice to know how to convert the sensitivity from Quake -> Retchid
- Framerate seems to cap itself at 60 unless I set it to an arbitrary cap, like 240 (would be nice to truly have a truly uncapped framerate)
- Customizable crosshairs; the option for a simple + would help a lot

I usually play quake/doom/tf2 and I really liked this game as a fun casual single player experience. Gave a solid 4hrs of gameplay. Only issue is mouse accel, but you can turn that off via the ini, and sensitivity doesn't scale super well. Otherwise though for a single player game, it's nice!

After Steam wouldn't give me a refund on this game, it ended up sitting in my library because it didn't run well at all. I eventually built a new PC with an i7-6800k @ 4GHz, 32GB of 3200MHz DDR4, and an MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X.

I can finally run this game at 60-120fps. Usually sits around 75. But seriously, this game as a port is awful. If you have a really fast PC and absolutely must play it, go ahead. If you have any reason to doubt this game not running perfectly on your system, don't waste your money on it. I caught it on a sale so it wasn't a total loss. Plus, now I can actually enjoy the game on my overpowered system.
