The game is not as good at any of the things that made BL2 fun, and worse at what BL2 did poorly. Unless you feel that you're an absolute diehard fan who MUST experience for yourself the minimal story there is to find in this game, then skip it. Skip it and find the story relevant cutscenes and dialogs on YouTube and the BL wiki.
