Masterpiece. Hazelight did it again.

It's bigger, bolder and even more epic than It Takes Two, which until now was my favorite co-op game of all time. The creativity of this team is second to none and it gets better the further you progress through the story. In the beginning it's a great game and in the end it's a fantastic game. I was hyped for this even before it was announced and it still managed to exceed expectations. I'm actually sad it's over already after 12 hours, but that doesn't mean it was short, especially since I'll definitely play it again very soon.

I can't even come up with any real negatives, not even nitpicks. Any improvements I would make would come with drawbacks. For example if it supported Raytracing, Lumen or MetaHuman, it would probably look even more gorgeous, but then it wouldn't run on Xbox Series S in 60fps with 0 framedrops or it would look considerably worse than on PC, so I respect the choice of using tried and true technical style, which is still making this one of the prettiest games you can run at such a low performance cost. And you can even use crossplay to play on PC with a friend on console and they don't even have to buy the game. Mindblowing that something so customer-friendly exists in today's gaming world. And it's only 50€. I'll be very surprised if this game doesn't sell more than 20 million copies and I would also be surprised if GTA6 wins Game of the Year over Split Fiction.

It's got massive beautiful levels that change all the time and yet somehow it runs super well with no visible loading screens and it's flawless in 32:9 super-ultrawide (with 21:9 ultawide cutscenes). We had exactly 0 bugs in the entire game. We did disconnect 3 times, but that's probably because EA servers are pegged right now and it takes like 30 seconds to get back into the game, so it's absolutely fine and forgiven.

Gaming heaven. Can't wait for what these guys do next. Too bad it's probably going to take them another 4 years to develop another masterpiece. But I'll prefer a super-polished
masterpiece like this one to a bug-ridden rushed game that's worse and runs poorly.

I loved the demo of this game and nothing has changed since then. It's still pretty damn good.

I like the twist on logistics games, where your workers are slowly dying and you have to manage the new problem of having to convert old ants to different models or recycle the ones that cannot be repurposed.

I've just now gotten past the phase of the game from the demo and there's a lot of things to do. The game is actually decently challenging, not just grindy like a lot of other factory/logistics games, where you can just throw more resources at a problem and solve it that way.

At first there's some idle time, when you're waiting for certain materials or buildings to get finished, but after just 5 hours I've gotten to the part of the game where there's always something to do.

I really have no major issues with the game. I've noticed only one tiny bug, where my panel is showing me that one of my tools has a red dot indicating that it has new options even though I've already seen them all, but otherwise my experience has been 100% flawless. If I was to nitpick, it seems a little tedious to transfer materials between islands, but maybe there's a better system that unlocks later in the research tree later, so I don't consider it a problem yet.

Even though the demo itself was fully polished too, I expected this game to go to early access and stay there for a couple of years just because of how common this approach is in this genre, but that hasn't happened and for a good reason. This is a fully polished finished game with zero technical issues, interesting ideas, lovely visual style and so far great optimization (can't speak for megabases yet). I wouldn't say it's as engaging as something like Factorio, Satisfactory or Dyson Sphere Program, but it's sure to keep me pleasantly entertained for a while and I definitely don't regret buying it on day one instead of waiting for a sale.

Good job, devs. I hope this little game gets the recognition it deserves. It's definitely one of the better ones in this genre.

It is what it is, an idle game you can just keep running in the background while you do other stuff. I'd almost fault it for being too involved and not idle enough, but I'm not going to, because that would be saying I want less gaming in my game. I can sit back and let production progress on its own, hell I can even turn the game off and then get a speed bonus after coming back. The game is not very deep, but I liked the original Factory Town, so this was a nice spin on it. If I actively played it, I might have unlocked everything in one day, but it's so cheap it doesn't even matter. And it's not the end of the game either. The numbers must grow.

It's like playing Vampire Survivors with much nicer graphics and way less varied gameplay. Fun game though, very easy to control, just a tiny bit repetitive. I have only played like an hour of Deep Rock Galactic, so I don't really care that it's from that universe and I would still recommend it.

The Forest had way better first impression than this game and I think overall I liked the first one better, but Sons is growing on me slowly.

The graphics and artstyle looks really nice, which to me is a big part of a game that takes place fully in nature.

The new building system is interesting, but sometimes it can get pretty frustrating too. Building a base of a decent size took me several days and would take even longer if it wasn't for Kelvin's constant supply of materials.

Kelvin can actually be another very frustrating part of the game sometimes, especially when I'm trying to build and he's set to fill up my storage and he keeps taking the materials I'm using to build and putting them into storage instead of prioritizing bringing in more materials. STOP TOUCHING MY STUFF, KELVIN!

Thank god at least Virginia is usually fairly useful if she doesn't step into fire by accident, which is obviously part of Kelvin's expertise as well. Yeah, the AI in this game is actually probably its worst feature. There is supposed to be a whole system of natives reacting to your actions, but either it's too subtle for me to notice or it's not effective enough.

The natives were watching me for a few days without doing anything, then one of them stepped into my campfire by mistake and that's when they declared war on me. So I'm basically at war because of the stupidity of my enemies.... Actually this is the most realistic game of all time. I assume the natives will soon impose trade tariffs on me and then they'll annex my houseboat.

Classic! I grew up playing this game and after years of struggling to replay it, I finally found some patches to be able to fully enjoy it on a modern machine on a 32:9 monitor. This is my first replay of this game after probably 25 years. And I'm loving it. I loved modern GTA games, all of them, but these are the roots they all came from and their DNA is unmistakeable.

There's a widescreen fix online, which I obviously cannot link here, but it's the one from PC Gaming Wiki. After fixing up some settings, the game runs in super-ultrawide (16:9 HUD optional) with only one issue, which is that nothing ever spawns on the screen, which means that when you're traveling horizontally or trying to kill a lot of enemies in a small area, things will be spawning very far away from you, which made one mission nearly impossible to do (kill 100 scientists in a mall). It's also supposed to support zooming the camera with Num+/Num-, but that didn't work for me either.

The game is unfortunately coded in 25fps and increasing the framerate increases the game speed, but thankfully Lossless Scaling again comes to the rescue with one of its best examples of the X4 mode, which brings this game from 25fps to 100fps. Obviously it's not without a fair share of artifacts and doesn't fix the lousy responsiveness this game always had due to the low base framerate, but it's definitely worlds better than playing it at 25fps or without the frame limiter. I've tried the same thing in GTA1, which suffers from the same hard-coded low base framerate and it works just as well as GTA2.

This game has the best ratio between the amount of fun you'll have with the fewest amount of buttons. I've never played anything this deep with literally just WSAD and Space. Also, 5€ full price for this? What a bargain. I get that it's a simple game, but come on. Give yourselves some credit, devs. And thanks for the full ultrawide support, although I would prefer a third option to solid and transparent black bars, which would be no black bars, but that's a massive nitpick.

EDIT: Ooooooh! That's how they make money! They have DLCs, so the whole game is actually 20€ if you want everything. That makes way more sense. Still too cheap though, because from what I've tried from the DLCs so far, they are very good and definitely worth the asking price.

I'm generally not a fan of these level-based logistics games. I like to have just one map and build forever, but I can live with it if they're really good. This one has just not gripped me. The types of challenges that it has are not interesting and not very intuitive. I also don't really like that you're not really managing trains, just connecting stations and everything else is automatic. It just wasn't able to hold my attention despite being the type of game I usually like.

I always hated card games. Then I played Inscryption and realized there are exceptions to my card game hating rule. Now there's two exceptions. This is like Inscryption's Kaycee's mod but on steroids and poker-based. Really cool, definitely deserves all the awards it got..

I think I need to try Slay The Spire. Maybe I don't hate card games...

Incredibly unique game. I played Inscryption before The Hex and I think I liked Inscryption better, because the actual card game was really fun and there was a lot of replayabilty especially with Kaycee's mod, but all that means is that Daniel Mullins in my eyes is getting better since Inscryption is newer. The Hex is awesome. Really weird trip, really cool, interesting lore to dive into on youtube videos since I'm too dumb to explore it properly myself.
