No room to learn the game when you play against seasoned veterans as a fresh player, no matchmaking to be found

Absolutely phenomenal, no game has ever given me an experience quite like this one has. The feeling of discovering space anomalies and digging through xeno-archaeological sites, pushing the limits of each of my factions and trying new ones, being absolutely blown away by the diversity of possibility. I could play this game forever if I had the time.

What a scam

Medieval COD, little depth beyond 15 hours besides frustration

This game is awful. I picked it up because there were plenty of positive reviews but now that I've played it I realize there's nothing special here. The sound effects are HORRID. Someone could be standing two feet away from you and the gunshots will sound exactly the same as they do twenty feet away, or behind a wall, or across the map. On the topic of audio, the sound mixing is really atrocious. Every time you get a kill it plays an extremely loud stock gore sound effect which can't be turned down or disabled, this is aggravating to say the least. Every single gun is the exact same thing. You either take an accurate high rate of fire gun with no recoil (TAR-21), or a high damage low rate of fire gun with lots of recoil. (Any AK, HK14) The sniping is a joke because there is no scope sway if you move while scoped in. Shotguns are useless because they don't one shot and most rifles with kill you in 3 to 4 shots. The music is cringy, the ping is terrible, the translations are laughable (e.g. "It was too hard" is an actual voice line on defeat). The classes are groan-inducing and only available on the worst game mode, they're just in the game just so they can say it's a class based shooter. None of the weapons are purchasable for any time other than permanent. This wouldn't be a problem if they gave you more money, but after playing for a couple hours I only have enough for one very cheap gun and a rifle. (About 220,000 for both, all of which came from the money they start you with) and you get around 800 currency in a round where you did really well. The single redeeming feature of this game is the detailed gun models, which isn't even that big of a deal because you'll only be able to own two or three of these guns (besides the default three) before running out of currency and grinding TDM lobbies full of wall hackers and poor sports.

tl;dr This game is bad, play something else.

This game is pretty terrible. Groups of 3 death ball objectives and spam overpowered real money weapons to death. I was just starting to learn the game when one of the devs personally banned me for saying 'lol' in the community chat. The ban message said 'sorry this is too much'. My friend got banned less than 5 minutes later for asking in community chat for them to unban me. How is a game like this supposed to take off if you ban all your players? Save your time and play something better.

This isn't a game, it's an experience. I was invested and immersed throughout my entire playthrough, and was very satisfied with the path I chose. This is an excellent example of what a puzzle game should do to keep you immersed, and on the edge of your seat. A fantastic game, for lovers of the human pysche, and philosophy.

A classic throw back to the simple formula of first person shooter with puzzles and highly interactive enviroments. Tons of secrets, cool force powers and amazing level design makes this game a staple in any Star Wars collection. PRO TIP: Buy the version from GOG because it works much better.
