This game is very good. You place monkeys and pop blons with darts.

Every moment that I am playing this game, I am receiving peak "fun" feelings in my brain. It is a game masterfully crafted and thoughtfully designed to be as good as possible, with several game play systems interweaving and interacting with each other to make every snap decision, every choice heavy with risk and reward. I doubt I will play anything as good as this for some time, unless I decide to play it again. Which I probably will.

Did you enjoy the newest Doom, but wished there was more old-school exploration instead of arena battles? THEN DO I HAVE THE GAME FOR YOU. This masterpiece here takes everything from old-school shooters, adds some 2018 quality-of-life polish, and gives you one of the best first person shooter experiences I have ever had the delight of enjoying. I could speak endlessly of its praise as there is endless things to praise, but I will keep it simple:

It FEELS suberb, in movement and shooting. The game has an enthralling energy in its frenetic nature. It's good that you can move so fast because if you do not *you die.*

It SOUNDS incredible. Every Shotgun blast knocks the wind out of you, the monster noises are great and at times legitmately unnerving (ironically this game is actually scary at points unlike a certain third entry in a famous FPS franchise) and the music is absolutely fantastic. Andrew Hulshult has joined the ranks of people like Mick Gordon who are living my dream, which is to say, writing drop-dead-fantastic industrial metal scores for shooters.

It LOOKS very cool. This is more of a your-mileage-may-vary type deal, as if you want photorealistic graphics you will be disappointed. But as a throwback and earnest loveletter to 90's shooters, the blocky and quake-esque graphics look great.

It took a while to get here, but man was it worth it.

Lots of good content that adds to the experience. There's a bunch of skins, several of the modifier cards for expeditions, and then 4 seperate dlc modes:

Baba Yaga is a story dlc where you go after a witch from Russian folklore. This was pretty cool and there are some sequences like Scarecrow's from Arkham Asylum which are great.

Endurance is as it's name implies how long you can endure in the frozen wasteland. Run around, look for treasure, and be Bear Grylls for as long as you can until you die.

Cold Darkness Awakened is nice and has a horror feel somewhat. You run around outside and inside a dark facility that makes some kind of zombie juice that turns men into zombies. Stop juice kil zombies good times.

Blood Ties is not out at the time of this review but it promises additional story content and the ability to explore Croft Manor (!) .

All in all, I'd say this was worth it, I've had a great time in all 3 modes and the skins and cards are cool.

A bit heavy on the performance requirements, but overall quite fun. Graphics look great, all the sounds are very nice and the gameplay is engrossing. The voice acting is really hammy but that's part of the fun.

This should be played with a controller imo, kb m is very tough to the point it can drag down the fun.

This game takes the epic combat of AC with the amazing story of AA and meshes them together, giving the best entry in the franchise easily.
