It's difficult to talk about this game without spoilers, if you're at all interested I implore you to stop reading these reviews and go play the game.

It's very difficult these days to find a work so well put-together on all fronts (Design, Art, Narrative, Music, etc.). A compelling experience that will surely appeal to both fans and non-fans of hardcore puzzle games. Plenty of traditional challenge for those who seek it, plenty of cleverly inserted alternative challenges for those who might otherwise shy away. A never-ending rabbit hole of lore, secrets, puzzles, and other *very distinct* content that remains engaging dozens of hours in. An emotional character-driven story set against a rich, mysterious backdrop. A fresh visual style that plays perfectly into the game's spacious, bittersweet atmosphere. A banger soundtrack, as is customary. A 10/10 must-play.

Bought this game for full price, totally worth it. Unique gameplay, very very good if you like 4X games (especially if you like them but find that most of them can get to be kind of a slog), higher difficulties offer a fantastic challenge, and there's tons of variations between runs. Runs usually last about an hour so you can have very satisfying self-contained play sessions that don't stretch on forever. Seems like only 1/3rd of the campaign is available currently and I feel the lack of content there a little bit but what's already here is put to really good use, highly recommend.

Solid 3d action game 8/10

Mind controlled an enemy squad leader into melting the floor they were standing on and killing them all. This is a good game.

Chroma squad is a fairly fun game, and the theme is quite funny for a bit, but to me, the gameplay, dialogue and story lack the depth to be truly engaging past the first season. The art and animations are great though, if you like pixel art of course.
