This is going to be my very first review of anything on steam. I did not review my most played game which is Civilization 5 because, well I do not play well with others. It just lets me own them. ENOUGH about that!

Ark
Ark is a great game for a start, but it is not perfect or flawless. The awesome gameplay graphics while possible you better be packing two titans and the CPU from Skynet. Optimization is horrid at this stage. I knew that though, I still bought it. I love dinosuars more then anything. It was striaght up a gift from heaven or so I thought.

Logging in, it starts you off on epic settings for my card. Even my 780 gets chewed up. There is a nasty memory leak on my game that causes me to have to restart after a few hours of play. So before you even log in make sure your settings are on medium, as well as make sure your playing in window mode. This is important. Because even with that super pc from SKYNET, in full window mode your going to be lagging like LEEEROOOOY JINKINS.

But thats really the worse of the graphical settings, which honestly that will be fixed with time.
Another minor issue, AI pathing for your dino buddies is awful, which is okay as well, its Early access thats fine! That will be improved with time.

This game has alot of good things going for it.
Graphics are solid even on medium, it runs good on medium, very little FPS drop, leveling up allows for a character that fits your personality, my character is tough, fast and hard hitting. This adds to my fun. Alot of interesting animals so far, TREX only lies inland, which is very true to the species. however on the shores and such you have to avoid ratpors and carnosaurus. This is a survival game where survival is more along the lines of, hunting and learning patterns, I think as its optimized this game will be very fun, and once dinos start acting according to their behaviors, we could see an amazing survival game.

Its a step in the right direction, thats only a budding seedling, Im willing to ride this one out, hopefully well see some pretty epic battles.

This game is pretty much the best turn based strategy game currently on shelves, The game has a few weaknesses, don't bother playhing this game on a weak computer, You will be waiting around alot, and I have not been able to complete a marathon game without it crashing.
