After almost 70 hours into this game, I feel its time to cast my vote.
I love this game, but be weary this is not civilization, this is path of exile civilization. There is alot of moving parts here.
Supply chains, and materials, and zone sizes, determining what you should build. I am still working on optimizing the turns to min max each play through, but my only gripe with it is that alot of the cities start off the same.

Farm, Workshop, dwelling, farm workshop dwelling.
Trade is finicky.

I had some crashes while playing the game, but I just went back and started over didn't lose sleep over it.
Before you buy this game, PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND WATCH A LETS PLAY. You need to understand the same you are getting before you buy it so you are not mislead. This is a game that is really great if you like grand strategy but it is not accessible due to the tutorial and how vague it is.

I highly recommend giving this game a chance if you like what you see. I will be playing this game for quite some time.

Alright, Lets do this.
Do you want a game where you kill Xenos? Do you want to serve the emperor? Do you want to join one of the most oppressive regimes in Scifi history? Look no further. This is Space Marine 2.

I very rarely beat games, but I beat this game because it kept calling to me. Whispers of the warp.
As someone who plays the forces of chaos in most games, it was refreshing to play as the smurfs. Titus is a great character, and so is the supporting cast. I actually enjoyed playing the forces of order for once. Typically its lame, but in this game with the impressive visuals and the executions make this amazing.
I will also add that is one of the best running games on launch I have ever played. It was smooth and silky and almost no issues. It sets the bar for what a game should be on launch day.

A round of applause for Saber interactive in making a game that is complete, and fun on launch.

If you purchase the game, I will see you in the eternal war brothers.

Sony walked back their stupid unsecure psn requirement. That is all I wanted, now I will review the game in detail.

The first thing you need to know about this game is difficulty matters probably more then most games in a long time. This game is fun, the gun play is great, the entire theme and story behind it is great.

My main gripe is pacing. You play through the difficulties and you finally get up to the higher stuff. I felt the lower difficulties were not enough to prepare you for the nightmares and horrors you are about to experience. This is a game you play with others, and you will need others.

This game has the best community I have played with in ages. I came in being only level 15, playing when I had time, and the community taught me how to play. Im still trying to learn to fight the bug big boss, but the constant chatter and people showing you stuff and learning from people. I think its amazing.

I dont have much time playing it, but I bought every pack so far becuase I believe in the game and I want to support it more. I think this is the best example of a live service game ever.

I have made more friends playing this in the last few months then I have over the year completely in steam.

I wanted to voice my love for this game. I have been playing this and learning it while listening to audio books. Honestly the game itself is relaxing and a good departure from the mind set that we have had in these games for far to long. The genre has long since suffered from Stockholm syndrome and we view mistakes as the end of the line. This game doesn't penalize you over mistakes, encourages you to make them to learn the game. Nothing is lost forever, and I think we need that right now.

The game looks and plays great, while being able to give you plenty of room to try.

Since the game has been released two updates have come out that were very large with more mechanics and features. I am happy with this game.

I was waiting for this game, and let me be honest. I have only done the first couple ages because I am trying to min/max to figure out how the game works.

Lets start with the pros and cons.
Pros
A new take on 4x nation building. The faction builder is alot of fun, but it lacks additional options, such as naming your own cities by defualt.
A supply line system that is amazing.
An age system that makes you wonder what is going on and how crazy is the next step going to be.

Cons:
Graphics are mid at best. This doesn't bother me, as I have 200 hours in dominion 6 so I am not phased.
Theres no functional multiplayer yet (This is what is mostly causing the negative reviews. Dont advertise multiplayer on launch if its coming soon) I personally don't play these in multiplayer so it was irrelevant to me.
The supply line functionality is complex at first and takes some getting used to, ontop of that it is based on what resources you have available to you. Which is hit and miss, and leads into the next problem.
The lack of map options when creating a map, we got a seed generator but we can't influence it in anyway. They need to increase the map options becuase it really sucks to get a spawn point with nothing.
We need more options to increase the water level and such.
Performance is abit bad towards the end game. It is not as bad as stellaris on luanch, but it can be frustrating.

These issues aside the game is fun, and if you are looking for a 4x game that is different then Civ I recommend it. Just be prepared to do alot of learning to get a rewarding experience.

I can keep going, but I suggest watching a lets play of some better players and seeing how you like it yourself, and avoid the game if your main reason for playing it right now is Multiplayer, as its not complete yet.

I really enjoy this game. It allowed me to reconnect with a friend from college. He taught me how to play and I greatly appreciate him for it. I am trying to beat the game with every faction now. Every game is unique and learning about every faction is awesome.

This is an autobattler, with a ton of spells. Its great if you just want to paint the map and make unique combinations.

After watching this get crushed by reviews, I wanted to add my own review.

Lets start with the bad, performance is bad, down right awful. My system struggled until I had help from the forums and I am on a 3080 with a AMD threadripper. It was painful.

If FPS is important to you, you will want to wait.

Now on to the rest, this is one of the best city builders I have played in my life, starting with sim city on SNES as a kid. Some of the systems are not working as intended they even said so, and if thats a deal breaker, I suggest waiting, however I have already spent 40 hours on this and I am about to play some more. In cities skylines 1 I was terrible becuase I wanted to min max everything, but I threw that out of the window now, Im just playing for fun, and honestly I can't wait for more of this game.

As with all paradox games, it will grow and change over time, BTW the performance may be bad, but its not stellaris late game on luanch bad.

Thank you paradox, I look forward to continuing this journey with you.

Early Access Review
This game is fantastic, but difficult. You will need to invest a considerable amount of time to play this effectively. This is factorio and Dysonsphere for grown ups.

I highly recommended reviewing the gameplay via videos first and seeing how it actually plays and works, before purchasing it.
I got more value out of this over other high priced DLC we have seen recently. I am looking forward to seeing this product develop into a beautiful game that entertains my lonely self for ages.
