Nice short game where you try to outsmart a troll with a lot of cheats in a game of Chess. There's some different rules like how pawns move and eat, or that Bishops can jump outside of the board.

How it works is that you have to play smart, while the Troll will sneakily cheat. If you notice a cheat, you can accuse them and get a free turn. If you cheat, you lose.

It has a lot of Obra Dinn energy to it with it's art style and the sound effects, and a nice puzzle game.

One of my favorite games ever. This made me a huge fan of Blendo games.

My word, the level design is incredible.

This is peak Doom-like. Enemies are placed in unique ways where every corner is a mystery. Had this been released in 1990s, it would have been one of the best Doom-likes ever.

So far, I spent $0. I can't believe this is a F2P game. Once Human is a mix of open-world adventure, survival crafting (loosely) and shooter with a SCP setting. The open-world is very 'go here and complete checkboxes', like a Ubisoft game, but better. Some of the monster designs are gorgeous.

Play it for about 5-30 hours and having a grand time (for free).


Who shouldn't play this game? Sweats. Check out all the bad reviews with 100-1000 hours of gameplay. That's all you need to know.

If you are seeking your next experience with Vampire Survivor, this may help. The incorporation of a sci-fi theme, moving around to parts of the map, gathering resources and coming back to base are what makes it stand out.

Solid Metroidvania

It look neat. But its shallow. Run in circles is all youre doing. There's no decisions to make.

This is a really great game to turn off your brain, smash, and loot things.

I really wanted to like this game. They literally have devs who worked on L4D. And while there's a lot of changes since the alpha/beta and the release, it still feels... meh. The weapons lack punch. The common enemies don't feel like they care you're shooting at them. The Special enemies just 'appear'. They need another stage of juicing. In L4D, you can HEAR a hunter. You can FEEL tension. The NPCs are commenting about the SMELL of a place.

I don't feel anything here. They did not push the L4D formula forward at all. Back4Blood had upgrade cards and weapons feel powerful. Deep Rock Galactic made you feel like a miner. Vermintide brought all sorts of Warhammer-esque energy. Anacrusis doesn't have anything that makes you go, "Wow!"

And I feel bad. Because I really really wanted this game to succeed.

I paid $2.50 for this game, and even at that price, i'm just like... meh. Anacrusis could have been a L4D mod. And that's not a positive statement.

Shooting and killing is pretty satisfying. Having a lot of fun.
