My hours in game says it all. One of the best shooter games I have played in a very long time. Even after 350 hours It's still a blast.

I couldn't wait to play this in VR and I finally bought it. I played it around half an hour, trying to get it to work with my HP G2, but the controllers do not work correctly and there is no way to rebind any of the controls. Not sure if the overall gameplay is any good, since I could hardly do anything in the game. I got up to the point in training where you had to set the camera into manual mode. I hit every button on the controllers and keyboard, but could not get anything to happen. Why they would not include a setup for one of the main headsets out on the market, boggles my mind. It has dashed my expectations for The Mighty Eighth now. If they can't get this game to work with WMR, than I doubt The Mighty Eighth is going to work either.

Since the NPC update, it now feels like a Fallout game. Most of the bugs have been fixed and the game is as expected from a Fallout game. The best part, you can play with your friends.

I got to try this for the weekend free preview and played around 4 hours which is not enough time to fully enjoy the game. I will say the time I played I had a lot of fun. It is a very sociable game just being able to talk to the person next to you makes playing a lot better. I was getting diconnected every 5 min when I first started playing it but there was a place to selct webconnect on the main menu if you were getting disconnects after I did that I played for 4 hours straight with no problems.

Gameplay-was fun and very unique no there is no dodging or anything like that, which would probably wear you out after one fight. But having a healer actually having to shoot others with their rifle was completely new and I really liked it being that I am a healer in all other MMOs.
Wizard-spells take a lot of practice no button pusing I know the spell now and can spam it over an over you really have to know what you are doing to cast a spell.

Crafting-I only did a little crafting but it seems to be a simple crafting system not sure if you need recipes or you can tinker to make new things.

Fishing-So I did the first two fishing quest the quest told a little on what to do but did not explain it too well but there were a lot of people around fishing who helped teach the new people how to do it and I even started helping people. I just sat in my recliner and fished it was very relaxing and was able to take a break from standing for so long.

Overall the graphics are not the best but the social gameplay made up for it in the end.

So you are reading the reviews for this game and see people talking about how bad the game is and you notice that they have hundreds of hours into the game. Do you have to grind a lot in this game? Yes and No. If you make it a grind game than it is a grind game if you play the game the way you want then it is not a grind game. I have over 1000 hours into the game I know it says over 600 but I played it a long time before I switched to the Steam version.

If you like space games you will love this game. There is so much to do Exploration of over 400 Billion systems, Bounty Hunter, Assassin, Mercenary, Pirate, Smuggling, Space Trucking (Trading), PowerPlay, Mining, Commerical Pilot, Personal Sightseeing Pilot, Scavenger, Infiltrator, Support, Multicrew, Engineering better Ship Components, and Helping minor Factions take over systems and expand. You can even have ED place you own player minor faction into the game. So you tell me if there is not a lot to do? Most people fall into doing one or two things for hours and think there is nothing to do in the game when they do not even try to do anything else. So where does the grind come in? Well it does take certain ranks to get certain ships and a lot of people will start grinding to get the rank to get those ships. Do you have to do that? No. I just let the ranks come as they come no grinding involved just take missions from the minor factions and after awhile you will get the rank. Let me ask you something have you ever bought a game for $60 to get 20-100 hours of gameplay? You are looking at the same price to get hundreds of hours of gameplay. Will you get burn out after awhile? Yes I do on every game I play. I do take a break from Elite but I always come back. Remember this is coming from someone that has over 1000 hours into the game and I can still log in and find stuff to do everytime.

First Steam game I ever refunded. If you like a berry picking game this is for you. You can not enjoy the game because you are contantly hunting or 90% of the time picking berries since your energy and hydration levels goes to zero within 15-20min. On top of that you can pay to get airdrops or crates to get premium stuff which takes the survival out of the game. I saw 3 zombies that I walked by and did not even get attacked. It might be a good game later but for now it is not worth the money.
