Absolutely phenomenal in every aspect. I knew very little about the previous games but was sucked into the story immediately. Gorgeous visuals with masterclass levels of writing, gameplay, music, pacing, environments, everything. It's a rare game that is this close to perfect.

An absolute instant classic. A dark, surreal, engrossing experience that drew out my curiosity on a level I haven't experienced since Dark Souls 1. Every beautiful new area brings with it intricately unique enemy design, body horror elements, and slowly ramping challenges at just the right (high) difficulty levels.

Bosses are appropriately impossible until you've died to them several times, requiring much of the same pattern studying that was necessary in DS1, and bringing that fist-pumping exhilaration of success with each one. The more of the map I unlocked and explored, the more of it I needed to see.

The bizarre world is filled with characters yearning for some sense of normalcy in a world screaming with the Old Pain, and each area reveals a little more about the mysterious surroundings you gleefully devour one pitiful monster at a time. The story leaves bits to interpretation, but fills in just enough of it's beautiful mystery to keep me craving more at each stage of the journey.

All in all, one of the best games I have played in a long time, and one that I will be remembering dearly for years to come. With rapid-fire useful updates being delivered in response to actual users on Reddit, the developer has showed a love for the game that will surely get even better with time. I've already spent 22 hours exploring this horrific world, and can't wait to do it in New Game Plus.

A must buy!

A relaxing, confusing, hypnotic, and altogether wild experience of a game. Along the lines of The Stanley Parable, Superliminal is a fairly short (2-3+ hours) ride through beautifully designed trippy levels with a loose storyline. The distortion of reality picks up little by little with the pacing only occasionally starting to feel like a slog if you happen to get stuck on a puzzle or two. The inventiveness of each level and pathways from one to another are mind-boggling, and the gameplay loop of testing objects and investigating solutions is rewarding and a ton of fun.

The game can feel a little linear and you might wonder if something more could have been done with the interactivity in each level rather then the click-hunt to find which items can be picked up, but held my rapt attention through 3.7 hours on my first play-through.

9/10 - Glad to have purchased, will be playing again.

This game is so much fun. Downloaded it with 4 other friends and played a solid two hours cackling with laughter. Old school Mario Party gameplay with smooth and clean controls. Love the different scenarios for each map, too!

Meticulously polished, expertly designed, and ridiculously difficult. Sekiro makes the Dark Souls series look like a medium-difficultly RPG game, but retains the same level of care and attention to detail that Fromsoft is known for. The breathtaking environments and treacherous areas blend into one another seamlessly through some shortcuts and light platforming. Along with brand new sneak/stealth puzzles, Sekiro uses the grappling hook to add a ton of vertical elements that keep the gameplay loop feeling fresh.

My moment of finally "clicking" came almost 10 hours into the game to the point where I can begin to imagine I can beat the next boss. It was hard fought and took Alt+F4ing angrily twice, but now I can take enemies two at a time face-on that I had trouble with alone when I started. Once you wrap your brain around the idea that this game doesn't really get any easier, you realize you've got a lot to learn and plenty of resurrections to practice learning it.

Prepare to die endlessly for hours, pound your desk in fury, throw your controller, scream at your monitor, and pump your fist harder than the end of Breakfast Club when you finally beat that boss, only to realize that it's considered the easiest one and you've still barely started.

The only complaints I could have with a game like this are fairly tame. The game is frame locked at 60fps, which when turning fast with a controller can look pretty jarring on a 144hz monitor, and I have to say I really do miss leaving and reading messages a la Dark Souls 3.

Stop watching videos to figure out why everyone says this game is so hard but so good, and just get it.

Dozens of hours of fun. Planning, building, hunting, mining, harvesting and eating human flesh, farming, this game has it all.

An excellent display of storytelling that had my face glued to my screen for two hours, unable to stop reading and collecting data. The interface is smooth and futuristic, and I absolutely love the 1984 references with a modern flavor. The only things I would like is the ability to make text a little smaller and to be able to run at 144Hz, scrolling up and down when I'm used to higher gave me a headache.
