I have paid for Counter Strike: Global Offensive, not for Counter Strike 2, what I was forced to update against my will...but I've got it for free for having a prime status in CS:GO and I still can play CS:GO via the demo viewer and its workshop contents, that were preserved, like coop scenarios, what is satisfactory. Its matchmaking was shut down, but CS2 have some new characteristics that I appreciate more than those from CS:GO, like the crosshair moving while you shoot.

Now, let's go to the real problems of this game...

First and most notable of all, independently of the computer hardware or the video settings of the game, it has a high GPU use. CS:GO could run with the same video settings without all the same demands from the GPU.

Second of all, it has lots of problems, like excessively bright maps, weapons with toy gun sounds, glass fragments from windows looking like snow or something else, flames with unusual colors for fire (I'm not dautonic) and a very impractical HUD that confuses more than help. It seems that Counter Strike is losing its unique identity as some of its aspects makes it look more like other trending games, like valorant, than any other previous version of it.

And third and most important of all, this game specifically requires a CPU with the sets of instruction SSE 4.1 and SSE 4.2 that some processors, like Athlon, Phenom, Opteron and Sempron series of AMD, do not have. This hardware requirements are not mentioned anywhere, with the user having to guess or try to play and see that it does not run on his computer anymore, realizing that now he has a broken game, that he doesn't bought, and the previous version of it (that worked) does not have online matchmaking anymore.
