I have had experiences in DayZ that cannot be replicated or done in other games. It is a pure, raw survival game with essentially no rules (of course there are servers with specified rules like RP servers). Expect hardship, expect greed, and don't trust anybody. That being said, meeting random survivors in town and struggling together in the wide open landscape of Chernarus or Livonia can be some of the most rewarding game play experience I could ever ask for. I've laughed so hard I was in tears because of this game. Some of the characters people come up with are pure gold and after you've had a few of these experiences, you'll be hooked. Don't get me wrong, I've been straight up betrayed in DayZ, I've been screwed over by everything from Wolves, zombies, and stairs. Damn I love this game. To be honest, if you take some notes on what to gather in game, you could do some real life prepping as well so you are more prepared yourself. All in all DayZ is a must have game, it's a huge map so expect long travel times, everything else you can't predict. Just Survive!
