Saw this game randomly browsing steam. The Idea is there and I was ready for a nice nostalgia fix. The peephole mechanic and the combat mechanic is a super interesting twist that i was looking forward to. Unfortunately I'm getting hit with soft-lock after soft-lock and it's only the first 10 minutes of the game.
TLDR: Too many bugs so early on that make's the game unplayable. I can't recommend this game until there's some pretty significant patches to help the overall quality of the game. I'm not sure why no one else has come across this? or addressed it even. Maybe I'm too proactive with years of playing other horror games that I'm derailing the code somehow idk...

[SPOILERS]
After tracking down Monroe into the hallway across the mansion I combat engaged with him from afar before my character initiated the scripted dialogue with him. I killed him and after doing so, i walked forward which triggered her dialogue. Problem is Monroe is already dead so after closing out of the dialogue it just reappeared in an endless loop that left me having to restart.
Second instance is just after taking control of Dr Olson. Spent half an hour roaming around trying to figure out what to do with her until I defeatedly looked up a video walkthrough. Turns out to continue I needed to pick up the Sample off the body of the of the first lady. but in my playthrough that sample was never there. it never loaded in. I was wandering around aimlessly for quite a while only to realize through watching a walk-through, that somehow the sample never loaded in.

overall decent game, not what i was expecting in the beginning and very hard to get into, but once i got all the items and trinkets and everything, it made the experience a whole lot better!
