The game is trying to be to many things that it struggles to do anything that well. The game takes forever to load and crashes frequently. There's no decent training mode that prepares you for the main game. Hackers were in almost every game I played over the course of 30 hours. There is no explanation as to why 100 people are being dropped onto an island. And no story to explain the enclosing storm. I paid for this game but in 30 hours of game play I've acquired only a toy dinosaur mask and a t'shirt more than generic base outfits. Thus progression outside paying out of pocket forever feels worthless. I wish developers spent time upgrading and fine tuning core game play mechanics with an objective like realism in mind. Unreal Engine 4 may be showing its age. This game introduced the world to Battle Royal and is worth playing if you're really into FPS & PVP. Now half the players are hardcore PUBG vets so you'll die 100 times and the game still wont be fair.
