Genuinely really cool game, I wasn't expecting much from another simulator/manager game but the minigames & gameplay loop are surprisingly addictive!

Also, there are a bunch of really, really cool easter eggs - after finding one or two I ended up closing my tavern for like a week just to run around the map and find them all.

You can really tell a lot of love has gone into the game, and while at the end of the day it really is another drop in the bucket for the insane amount of management simulation games available these days, this is the only one that's not only kept me entertained for multiple hours, but has genuinely made me lose track of time and end up staying up far too late!

Town of Salem 2 is a great upgrade from the first game - there are so many incredibly useful new mechanics such as the role cards & being able to link roles & keywords in chat. It's definitely a more streamlined experience than the first game - and I personally have no reason to go back to 1. The only reason I can imagine you'd want to go back is the absence of Ranked - although with Ranked Practice being added some time ago, I imagine it's only a matter of time until even that isn't reason enough.

As much as I love and recommend this game, it would be dishonest of me to not point out the flaws in the new monetisation system. Skins work a little differently compared to TOS1; You can purchase characters, of which only one person in a lobby can play as at one time, and then you can also purchase skins for said characters (but if someone else is already using the default skin for your chosen character, you're out of luck). This feels a greedy at best and downright predatory at worst - why would I pay for something I may not even be able to use?

Despite the skins system, the rest of the shop is alright. The option to customise your house is really nice, and with the town points you get from completing games, it doesn't take long to create something that feels yours. I personally haven't spent money on the game (aside from the initial purchase cost), and I have a fully customised house & a new character already, although YMMV depending on how much you play and what sort of style you're after.

TL;DR - Massive upgrade from Town of Salem 1 and definitely worth the money, however the skins system smells a little fishy to me. Still recommend though.

Adorable & inclusive - a lovely game to pass the time, or to de-stress after a hard day. Sticky Business combines the queer-coded and unique story telling of Unpacking with the progression and energy cycles of Stardew Valley, making for a relaxing yet compelling experience. Bonus points for being a lazily creative game - a great way for me personally to scratch my creative itch without using too much of my nowadays sparse energy. Highly recommend.

I've spent a lot of time in this game (most notably obtaining 100% of the ball race achievements), and I could honestly go back and do every hour over again and be okay with that. There's so much content for the price tag, and there's something for everyone - whether you like grinding out achievements or chilling with friends, intense gameplay or relaxing vibes, investing in useful tools and gadgets or splashing out on decorating your perfect hangout. There is literally an inbuilt retro console emulator.

On top of all that, the devs are not only constantly working on new content and updates, but they keep the playerbase in the loop as well, with their weekly dev logs that indicate what has been worked on by who and what progress they've made during the week. I can also speak from experience that they're just generally really nice people who are more than willing to assist you, if you ask nicely enough.

So yeah, can't recommend this game enough really.

General gameplay could be more polished but honestly the story makes up for it SO hard. If it's on sale and you've got a friend, definitely pick it up.

It was vaguely fun back when it came out, but in reality it wasn't worth the price tag back then, and it definitely isn't now that the game is about as lifeless as my sex life.

One of those games I can and have very easily sunken an unholy amount of hours into in one sitting, and I keep coming back to it even many years after buying. Really fun to play with friends too.
