Very fun and unique game, recently came back to play it again and still enjoyed it. Very much a fan of the gameplay loop of completing the requirements to unlock more rooms, whilest also trying to discover all of the discs. My only dislike is that I would've loved to see more of the base game, but it's still a solid experience.

Played this game off and on for about 4 years now, about time I write a review. I have no experience playing any of the games that BallisticNG is inspired by, I decided to pick up the game solely because the gameplay looked interesting. Flash forward four years, this game is the ♥♥♥♥. I'm consistently coming back to either work on completing the game's campaigns, or just because I want to get some races in. The core race mode is what I tend to play, but the amount of different modes or ways to change how you play is absurd. And that's not even including the amount of modding support this game has.

If you're a fan of racing games and just want something that kicks ass, buy the game.

I still have yet to sit down and fully finish this game, but Satisfactory is an extremely solid automation game. If you aren't careful, it'll be the only game you play for a month.

A very polished platform fighter experience! That being said, it baffles me why this game did not launch as an Early Access title. The core gameplay is there, and it is GREAT, but there's a lot of features that are still missing that definitely deserved to be in the game at launch.

Edit (11/4/24):

The developers have now announced that the dlc is getting a massive rework, fixing and changing things that players did not like whatsoever. My review will stay negative (considering this full rework is still months away), but there is a possibility that the developers redeem themselves and fix this dlc in a way that pleases the players.

Original Review:

Can't currently recommend the DLC in the state that it launched in. On top of the game's new horrible bugs and new poor programming practices, this DLC feels rushed and unbalanced. It needed a significant amount of more time before release, everything just doesn't feel properly thought about. It feels like cheating when picking up a few of the new DLC items just because they don't feel properly balanced.

I can only recommend this DLC if you are a Risk of Rain fan, since after all it is new content, but don't expect perfection. Sure, they will do some patches to fix up bugs and probably re-balance some new additions, but I'm leaving this as a negative review until that happens.

Have been playing this game on and off for a while to 100% it, since I've previously played the game when I was younger, and it's still stupidly fun. This game only improves upon the mechanics the first game established, and it is very addicting to play. Was a blast!

Pizza Tower is extremely goofy is the best way possible. Great soundtrack, fluid controls that offer plenty of room to improve, and some very "interesting" characters. Just a great game to play, whether you want to casually play through the game or achieve every single P rank there is.

I have no idea why I did not leave a review for this game after I first beat it a while ago, but The Messenger is an amazing game. The twists, mechanics, and everything it has just makes for an extremely enjoyable experience. Do not spoil or look up anything about this game, as you'll ruin some of the coolest story twists I've seen in a while! I will admit that especially towards the later parts of the game, there are a few things that do grow a little annoying, but they are minor issues compared to the rest of the game.

The Messenger is just a great experience, pick it up and play it without spoiling yourself!

Sea of Stars was an outstanding game that I totally got my money's worth out of. I went into this game having played and 100%-ed The Messenger, so I very much enjoyed every single call back or reference to that game that Sea of Stars offered. But apart from the overlapping story and universe of these two completely different games, Sea of Stars blew me out of the water. Each area, mechanic, enemy, and story twist that the game offered only made me enjoy this game more and more.

The only downsides I really have about this game is that the battle system does not get overly complex later into the story and I wish there was just a little more story explanation for The Messenger. For me, I enjoyed almost every second the battle system and thought that they expanded on it well over time. However, I have heard complaints that it may not be for everyone if you are more attuned to complex turn-based games. And with me wanting more Messenger stuff, I do wish that there was more explanation for why The Messenger took place, but maybe I will have to wait longer to see more of that (maybe in another game, or in some other parts of Sea of Stars that I haven't fully explored yet) Even with that, I still highly recommend this game.

You don't need any prior story knowledge from The Messenger to enjoy this game, the game stands firmly on its own. I haven't even mentioned the outstanding soundtrack either! With everything being said, this is a game you should totally pick up and play without spoiling yourself about anything the game has to offer. Sabotage Studio outdid themselves once again.

An absolutely amazing game, and my personal favorite of 2022. I was initially not excited for things in this game, specifically the dialogue and story, but it grows on you over time. With the amount of content, creativity (especially level design related!), amazing songs, and ways to play, this is 100% my pick for the best game of 2022. Even though I already 100%-ed everything up to the very end of the story due to the game being so fun, I am definitely going to fully complete everything there is!

Highly recommend this game!
