i love this game it is cool. i think you will like it

I actually preordered this game without any of the hype - I thought it looked like a cool space game. It released and I played it and it was a cool space game but I stopped playing it. Then they put a bunch of updates into it and now it is an even cooler space game that I still play on occasion. The free VR update was extremely cool, Todd Howard would charge like $60 for that alone.

I'm complete garbage at this game and I love it.

Like the protaganist of this game, my heart also beats thanks to a strange and alien source. Although the beat of my heart comes from the darkness between stars, it doesn't make the songs in this game any less catchy and fun to play along with. Would easily recommend, and do.

Elite Dangerous is good as far as space games go. There is a lot of crappy games in the genre, and while this one isn't the One True Space Game, it's pretty OK. If I had to quantify the game numerically, I would have to give it 8 out of 10, with 7 being the medium.

The base game itself allows you to fly around the Milky Way and dock at stations. You can do a variety of missions, get into space combat with six degrees of freedom featuring reduced yaw control to keep things interesting, and outfit/upgrade your ship. You can gain standing with the assorted "Power Play" factions and do all kinds of other stuff that I don't trifle with, with community goals for credits without heavy time investment. Getting the Horizons Season pass unlocks a ton of other features, including planetside landing and roving around, which I found to be quite enjoyable. Would I recommend this game at $30? Yes, and I would recommend getting the Horizons Season pass as well if you really enjoy it.
