LISA: The Painful is my favorite RPG of all time, hands down. Unique gameplay, A compelling story, and a wide cast of colorful characters drive this game all the way home. Many of the mechanics and the way it presents things are truly unique for an RPG Maker game; LISA utilizes a 2D playing space more akin to a platformer rather than the more often used top down perspective, and it comes with thirty possible party members, each with their own movesets, personalities, and possibility to die permanently. It's story often takes dark and grim turns, and the subject matter isn't for those not used to heavier plots. Despite this however, the game handles these tones very well, often with a great deal of tact. Keep in mind that it isn't all gloomy though, as the game is just as humorous as it is dark, and is very good at switching between the two themes when the moment is right. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, and it will absolutely make you feel miserable by the end of it all. I mean this in the best way possible of course.

I consider Aseprite an must-have for aspiring artists or game developers that are looking to really take their pixel-art to the next level. A streamlined and easy to understand interface makes finding what you want a breeze, and a variety of tools to allow wrapping, animation, and layering means you'll always have what you need to finish a piece. Aseprite is very helpful when it comes to exporting finished sprites or full on sheets as well, and it even comes with its own type of file, .ase. I cannot recommend Aseprite highly enough.

Charming art and a funny premise helps Alien Xenoblaster stick out as a modern arcade classic that will provide both challenge and entertainment for you and some friends. Although rather short - which makes sense considering its influence - it makes up for it with gameplay that's just as quick to pick up and have fun with. If you've got a few bucks to spare, I'd recommend this.

Antonball is fun, easy to pick up and play, and will leave you ballin' for quite a long time. Essentially an arcadey mixture of both the Breakout and the Mario bros. games wrapped up in one glorious package, it is as charming as it is enjoyable to play. Whether you're playing alone or with a few friends, you're sure to have fun with this game.
