The depth, attention to detail, amazing voice acting, incredibly engaging mechanics, and overall fantasy charm of this game cannot be understated. It truly is the perfect 'Role Playing Game'. I've never played DnD before, nor a Dungeons and Dragons style game, but it has been quite simple and EXTREMELY fun to pick up and get the hang of. I'm not anywhere near finishing it yet, but I can safely say I love the game.
Interestingly, it's also been a great game for my non-gamer sister to pick up and play with me. She loves fantasy, and the lack of button-mashing or fast-paced realtime combat or complex 3-dimensional movement has really done wonders for how much she's able to enjoy the game, since you can really put your focus in to the lore, and depth of abilities rather than use half your brain to develop muscle memory and reflex. So I'd highly recommend for co-operative play, even if the other party isn't a battle-hardened gamer.

Important Edit

There is one thing however, that I must criticise. The multiplayer experience in this game in terms of connection stability, has really been something of a nightmare. Even when playing on a LAN lobby, my sister, who is the guest joining my hosted game, faces CONSTANT disconnects, sometimes 60 minutes apart, sometimes 5. It gets to the point that we'll spend 2 hours 'playing' the game and only progressing 20 real minutes worth of in-game story, because it takes so much time to sit through the random disconnects, reloads, and game lobbies not showing up in the multiplayer menu unless you refresh ~40 times.
It's really discouraging when many of our co-op sessions end not because we were satisfied with the day's play, but because the game simply would not let us play without making it incredibly frustrating to do so., I really hope Larian finds a fix for this issue soon, because speaking from the viewpoint of my sister and I together, the game would unironically become 20 times more enjoyable with just that one fix.

Just finished my first playthrough. As my first ever Armored Core game (and Mech game) in general, I'd say that it achieves the pinnacle of what a great action game of this scope should strive for - and that's that it left me in complete awe and more adrenaline than anyone knows what to do with when it was over.
The fights and soundtrack of this game will have you feeling like you're in the largest scale anime season finale fight ever, and the feeling of triumph after you finally clear the bosses is something you can never get enough of.
If you loved Elden Ring, well, this isn't Elden Ring. It's not even close.
BUT, it IS FromSoft; And they overdelivered.

9.5/10. Let the last cinders burn.

If you're a fan of good music, a cool art style and rythm games, no-brainer right here.

Super relaxing and wholesome experience, with a sweet story and soundtrack. I loved pretending I know how to pull stuff apart and then put them neatly back together - something very satisfying about it. A couple of the items serve as 'puzzles' but I wouldn't really call it that because it takes around 20 seconds of trial-and-error to solve any of the wiring puzzles.
That's all fine though because what this really is, is about 90 minutes of a really relaxing fidget toy, and I personally loved it. Highly recommend if you have a bit of cash and time to spare :)

Just buy it, and don't give up. You won't regret it.

This is one of the greatest games I've ever played. The art style, the music, just the overall vibe - unforgettable.
I've not been able to stop smiling for a single second I spend in-game.

A guy called Gordon Ramsey kamikazed me at turn 1 of Austria, leading to me getting a 23 sec penalty and my safety rating going down to C. "Regular Max" and "El Plan Alonso" then went on to win the race as the only two people who didn't DNF. 11/10 good game
